One could have the best map in the world, but if one doesn't know how to use it, it is useless. Now in a newly updated sixth edition, "Map Use: Reading and Analysis" is a reference that seeks to educate readers about the various types and purposes of maps. Maps are used in countless professions as well as by lay people, more so than ever with the rise of GPS systems. Chapters outline the functions of maps, the psychology of maps, how they are produced, the techniques to do so, and more. Coordinate use, GPS use, and chapters on map analysis are also covered. Enhanced with full color photos, countless graphs and charts, a glossary, appendices, and much more, "Map Use" is a complete and comprehensive text highly recommended to any educational class focusing on maps.

I bought this book for my brother's college course, so I really can't say there is any negative feedback, but I can't personally comment any further.
