Oh my goodness, who knew these scissors could make cutting so much easier for my three year old. We purchased these scissors on recommendation from another homeschooler after struggling with my daughters cutting. We previously were using the standard walmart/target brand toddler scissors which made it so difficult for her to coordinate the correct movements. But these really do help make for a smooth cutting motion mainly because it doesn't take a lot of pressure for them to push the blades together and blades are actually sharp. Overall, love them.

These are fantastic scissors and very well made. My 2 1/2 year old boy loves them. They are a good size and the spring action works well. The scissor tips are round but the blades are pretty sharp so you should continue to supervise your child while they are using these.

I have a child with a hand deformity... I had ordered him Maped self opening scissors for school which worked great(except I didn't get a choice in color and of course HE got PINK). Anyway, I thought I would get him a pair for at home - and they changed the style since I ordered last - so these won't work for him since he is left handed and these are clearly for right handed children only. I couldn't find any from this company for left handers. That is my only disappointment. Other than that, I like the gender neutral colors (since the company doesn't give you a choice). Hopefully I can find someone to use them since it isn't worth the money to ship them back.
