Maple syrup is a unique North American food product that has a distinctive flavor and a distinguished history. "Maple Moon" is a gorgeous presentation of recipes, food photographs, and maple syrup stories and history.The Maple Moon was a season of celebration and feasting among the indigenous peoples of eastern North America as the maple sap rose, was harvested and processed. This "Maple Moon" cookbook has a superb collection of maple syrup and maple sugar recipes that include such luscious offerings, both savory and sweet, as Apple Blueberry Pie with Maple Sugar Crust, Mango Maple Meringues, Mango Maple Tiger Shrimp, Maple Pecan Chocolate Pie, Oven Roasted Maple Onion Potatoes, Maple Ginger Chicken, Maple Macadamia Ice Cream, and dozens more. I have made about 30 of these fantastic recipes and I am hooked. For Christmas all the people I really care about are going to get a bottle of maple syrup and a copy of "Maple Moon". |
