Recent years have seen a rapid progress of the ability to image human higher brain functions. In the present volume, special emphasis is placed on those techniques that have a high temporal resolution and therefore permit to construct cognitive models of the functions under study (event-related brain potentials, magnetoencephalography). The volume is organized in several sections addressing attention, memory, language and motor processes as well as studies in neurological populations. The book will be relevant for cognitive neuroscientists, psychologists, neurologists and psychiatrists.
