Most Helpful Customer Reviews

4 of 4 people found the following review helpful By RS 4now5 on July 11, 2012
I used this as a supplement to social studies. My kids enjoyed most of the activities, and I found the book well worth the time and money spent. Most pages have a small color map and about 10 fill in the blank questions covering such things as cardinal directions, legend, title, map scale, time zones, lattitude and longitude, and route maps. The beginning of the book discusses themes in geography:location, place, human/environment interaction, movement, and regions. I liked that the maps were for the most part real places (mostly US states), so the kids picked up a bit of US geography. As a "Level E" book this is geared toward 5th graders, but I think it would easily work well for kids in grades 4 - 6, or even as young as 3rd with some adult guidance. Older kids can probably do the work independently.

I'd recommend this book to anyone looking a maps and globes workbook.
