Definitivamente El Mejor,
By
This review is from: Maquillaje (Audio CD)

a pyschedelic spanish rock beatlesque album!!!,
By
This review is from: Maquillaje (Audio CD)
that summarizes this album which has been playing over and over in my headphones, in my car...wherever i go....any beatlefan will be pleased to hear that the beatles legacy still lives strong in the veins of latin rock...the opening track is worth the price of admission alone..."para siempre" opens up with a feel of "i am the walrus" and harrison's "when we was fab"....the track even features Ringo style drumming throughout...i have yet to tire of this track which ends in an exquisite mellotron played hauntingly to drums that seem to slug it out with an eerie rainy feel...the next track "asi es" carries the beatlesque onward with interesting turns...."de afuera hacia adentro" is a great rolling along sixties style track with vocals bordering with a beach boys feel...the next one will have riffs of thebeatles "because' as well beatlesque harmonies strongly to the fore...then comes an experiemental interludio..."ligero como el viento" is a good track, but not as powerful as the opening tracks...."bien o mal" opens promisingly, but extends it's we;come almost at ten minutes...."por el suelo..." is not memorable, but the album picks up with "Carros al cielo", that has almost a reggae feel to it..."sin explicacion" has dreamy lyrics...."interludio 2" almost reminded me of harrison's "electronic sound" upon it's opening, but has more in comon with mccartney's "liverpool sound collage".."dentro de un mensaje" sounds lennonesque...a fitting end to an album that could have been zurdok's sublimal tribute to the fabs right at the time of harrison's untimely passing...

Great rock album, and in Spanish!,

A really good album from start to finish, defenetly one of my favorite albums of all time, along with Zurdok's previews work "Hombre Sintetizador" Zurdok is defetenly one creative band who, with "Maquillaje", offers Spanish speaking fans something they would expect from a British band.
