5.0 out of 5 stars Beautiful, serves it's purpose October 12, 2011
Color:Purple|Verified Purchase
The purple color is excellent.
Nice quality leather and stitching. The interior black velvet material is lovely. I haven't had a need for the interior pocket flap but I'm sure I'll use it eventually.

The Kindle fits snuggly inside the four corner tabs. Snug is good.

The magnetic tab closure is perfect. It's a nice strong magnet that closes securely. When reading the magnet closure holds the front cover open and does not impend on the reading experience at all. Other reviews have suggested that the tab does interfer with reading. This is not true if you secure the magnet to the back side it stays out of the way. If you leave it hanging out there, then yes, I'm sure it does get in the way. Logically it makes sense to attach it instead of letting it hang there. :)

I wish there were more colors to select from. I would have preferred a green with brown accenting or brown with green accenting.

5.0 out of 5 stars Works well October 7, 2011
Color:Purple|Verified Purchase
Having had other kindles and covers I can compare. Since I leave this nice, compact, light, Kindle in my purse, I wanted something to protect it that would not add weight or bulk. This cover is easy to hold and when I read, I fold the front cover back then use the tab (leather on leather, using the magnets to attach) to hold the front open. It was a bit snug to get the kindle into the corner holders, but you want it snug. The only SLIGHT problem I have is my light. I use the Kandle Flex by Ozeri light. It is a bit tight to get it's base between the kindle back and cover back. If they would make an area where the light goes with elastic SOS it stays snug when not using the light and yet gives when you put a light in, it would be perfect.
After using it for awhile, I leave the top inside (left) tab off the kindle so there is room for the light. It still is snug, no problems. If you want to read with the front cover folded back, you place the magnetic tab over it, as you would when closed and that keeps the cover open. Only improvements, other the easy way to put light on if you want to, is on inside front cover put something so when it is folded back you can put your hand in it to easy hold the kindle while reading, and offer more color choices.

5.0 out of 5 stars Really nice November 2, 2011

Color:Pink 1.0|Verified Purchase
Really cute and very sturdy. I got it in pink, and I really like the color. It looks just like it does on the website. I also like that inside is very soft and the kindle ($79 version) sits well inside it. I take this kindle to school with me and the strap that comes over keeps it closed well. I don't even need a screen protector because when it's closed my kindle is perfectly safe. I also like that I can fold the front back and it doesn't crack the case like some of the cheaper ones I've seen have. It's just a really greats case.

3.0 out of 5 stars Great Case, But... November 11, 2011
Color:Black|Verified Purchase
I love this case. The cover is pretty stiff, the leather is nice, the magnet is strong and the elastic fits the kindle nice and snug. It's very protective. My only problem with it is that after a month of use, i've noticed that the suede/velvet inside seems to have stained the back of my kindle at the four corners. Water, alcohol and ammonia have yet to remove the stain and i am to afraid to use anything stronger as it could possibly damage the kindle. So, as a temporary fix, i've put tape along the corners and the back of the kindle to prevent further discoloration until i can buy a new case.

It's a nice case and all but dont want stains on the back of the device.

4.0 out of 5 stars Decent cover October 3, 2011
Color:Purple|Verified Purchase
So, I just received my (first) Kindle and this cover. The outside is textured and fairly stiff. On the inside, there's a little pocket like in a journal and the rest is a sort of black velvety material. You place your Kindle on the other side where it's held down by four straps. A bit of a pain to get it in, but at least it's a snug fit. You can fold the cover back, but the tab that keeps it shut is somewhat annoying if you use your right hand to page back and forth. Overall, it seems OK to me! :)

5.0 out of 5 stars Nice Cover and Decent Design November 5, 2011
Color:Black|Verified Purchase
When I received the cover, I'm a bit surprised to find it so thin. It looks a bit flimsy compared to the 3rd generation official kindle cover Kindle Lighted Leather Cover, Black (Fits Kindle Keyboard, which is pretty stiff and thick and seems to be able to better protect the device. But after a few weeks, the Belkin cover grew on me.

First of all, the 4th generation Kindle can be secured tightly in the Belkin cover, which is very important. It doesn't move around at all.

Belkin cover is a lot thinner than 3rd generation official cover so it's more portable and compact. You can easily put it in jacket pocket or purse. Since the cover is not as thick and stiff, when you secure Kindle in it, the bottom side of the cover looks uneven. If you're a perfectionist and cannot bear any uneven appearance around the edge, this is not for you. But if you don't mind it and only look at the front side of the cover, it does look decent.

The stitches are good, and the four corner straps look better than those of other 4th generation covers in the market. Belkin's straps are wider and are made of leather with elastic part only in the end, which present less distraction for me because other covers' corner straps are too thin, stretch out too much, and expose more Kindle corners unprotected. Belkin's wider leather corner strap design is the most important point why I chose it instead of other covers.

The magnetic enclosure is also a nice touch as I don't like the elastic strap of other covers (they look cheap; 3rd generation kindle cover's elastic strap looks better as it's a round strap not flat one).
