Product Description

At first glance, this offering from Marc Ecko looks like an ordinary ID bracelet. However, the case's cover flips up and reveals the timepiece hidden beneath. Made entirely of polished stainless steel, this sleek wristwatch features a cover decorated in crystals set in the shape of the Marc Ecko rhino logo. Silver-tone hands and indexes adorn the sharp, black dial, and the linked bracelet with a jewelry-clasp supplies a snug fit.

The Marc Ecko Brand
From his beginnings in fashion to his recent entries into the worlds of publishing, video gaming and multimedia, Marc Ecko continues to break the boundaries of conventional wisdom and further solidify his role as the navigator of pop culture.

While others are content in imitate, he chooses to innovate. Marc's goal is not to chase what's already out there, but to establish a whole new category of branded products and services that are immediately embraced as cutting edge and credible.

His journey began in the mid-80's while he was still a high school student working from a makeshift design studio located in the garage of his parents' New Jersey home. Armed only with an airbrush and his custom graphic designs, Marc quickly built a loyal fan base and in 1993, at the age of 20 founded *ecko unltd.

Since then, the Company has grown to include 12 separate *ecko unltd. apparel and accessories lines, the contemporary Marc Ecko "Cut & Sew" collection, G-Unit Clothing Company, Zoo York, Avirex Sportswear, Complex magazine (circulation 330,000), and his recently launched video game, "Getting Up: Contents Under Pressure."

Simultaneously, Marc has dedicated himself to a number of socially conscious initiatives, including significant work with underprivileged youth domestically and internationally and a dedicated role in reversing the plight of the world's rhino populations. Sweat Equity Enterprises, a four-year after-school, design and mentoring program for underserved New York City teens, is his most recent and most personal initiative to date.

In recognition of his achievements, Marc was recently honored with a 2006 MTV Video Music Award for "Best Videogame Soundtrack", and is frequently included in such lists as Details magazine's "Most Powerful Men Under 38," Stuff magazine's "Style Icons" list, and New York Magazine's list of the City's "Influentials." He has also gained international notoriety for his various efforts to disrupt the status quo, from two successful graffiti-based court battles against the city of New York, to the 2006 "Tagging Air Force One" viral video campaign.

Whether it's apparel, watches, magazines, videogames, or film, Marc is poised to deliver what today's young consumers desire most - products that are trend-defining, thought provoking and engaging - while continuing to prove critics wrong at every new turn. *ecko unltd. The World-Famous Rhino Brand. A fashion-based cultural compass pointed squarely at the new world market and commercial success.

This watch was something that belong to my brother who died 11/11/07 at 37 years young. I remember when he bought it, he loved it so much. He had not bought anything for his self in a while. When you wear it, it's cool because, it really looks like a bracelet. It is nice and loose on my wrist, and as it turns, it looks like a bracelet from all angles. It is obviously more special to me because it was my brothers, but still all in all it's a great watch, very unique.

The fit and finish of this watch/bracelet are excellent. The band features both chain links and traditional jewelry clasp links that can be removed by undoing the clasps and removing the requisite number of links. No need for a jeweler to resize this piece. The crystals in the iced rhino don't pop (sparkle) as much as I'd like, but, for the price, they sparkle at an acceptable level. The watch beneath the rhino cover is an added value, though, it is not a stylish watch face and is generally forgettable. However, most, including myself, will be making the purchase for the iced rhino first, and watch features second. All in all, a quality product with high value for the price. I've been very satisfied.

Well this is definatly a type of jewelry your not going to see everyone else wearing. Its stylish, and the flip up watch is an added bonus.

However putting on and removing the bracelet isnt the easiest. I often find myself taking about a full minute or 2 trying to unclip it/clip it. Its annoying in a sense that I dont want to put it on unless im going out... Probably not something for everyday use.
Also the watch face is a rounded square with only 4 dots (12,3,6,9) So reading an accurate time to someone is relativly difficult. You have to do alot of estimating. So if someone asks you the time, you not only have to use your other hand to flip open the face cover, but then u have to estimate where the hands are pointing...

On a good note the Marc ecko holding case it comes with is very nice.

Definatly a good buy if your an ecko fan. Hell of alot better to be used as a braclet rather than a watch.

I love the style of the watch and the design but didn't really care for the actual watch once you flipped up the top.

I can't get the hidden face open. Can anyone help me with this? I don't want to damage my watch trying to figure it out. There is nothing on the Ekco website to help:(.

Very stylish. Bling with functionality. I'm not a bling guy but this has a watch which makes it useful. About $12 cheaper than Khols.

I gave it a 4star rating because it is difficult getting it on and off my wrist. It's also a little bit heavier than I expected. I definitely like the style.
