This game does take time to learn, not how to so the controls, just figuring out how to get through each task. But if you like a challenge and don't want a game you can just do the first time then it's great. Cute scenes and fun to play.

Fortunately I was able to play this game for free, because if I had spent $20 on it, I would have felt cheated. Despite being a challenging puzzle game involving cute cuddly critters, the game took less than 2 hours time to beat. With only 12 short "levels" the game was disappointingly brief. However, the music and sound effects were cute, and the penguins themselves were dumb as a sack of rocks... but that's why you're helping them, isn't it?

I was unsure of what to expect based on the reviews I found online. Most people said it was hard - and it was. I DO NOT recommend this for children under 13 - it would be extremely hard to understand otherwise. I would recommend it for teens and adults that enjoy problem solving and puzzles.

If you've ever played "Lemmings" you'll have a better chance at solving the puzzles quickly. There are only two types of puzzles to solve: a Lemmings-like side scroller that involves you transporting a group of penguins over harsh terrain by placing objects to help them across, and a maze-like overhead game that involves you gliding a penguin across the antarctic ice to reach a goal destination. Both are difficult, but become easier to complete the more you play. I was not able to finish a single puzzle on the first try - it was trial and error the whole way. You learn where certain things go ahead of time, and then are able to see the big picture after multiple failures. This game fully emphasizes learning from your mistakes. I can understand how that would infuriate a lot of gamers that like completing things on the first try... Don't count on it.

On the whole, if the game had been longer I would've been much more satisfied with it. The puzzles were hard but not unsolvable - but this IS NOT a kids game. Try it if you choose, but be forewarned: if you think it's fun you'll hate how short it is, and if you think it's hard and annoying you'll hate it period.

I like the premise behind the game. Move objects to help the penguins reach their destination. However actually completing the tasks proved more difficult than it should have been. Not a game for young children at all.

My daughter wanted this really bad. I bought it for her, she played it once, now wants to put it in the yard sale. She said she cant figure it out. She is 10 and she has not had any fun with it. So I would stay clear of this one. What a waste of money.
