Great cage if you can beat the tube assembly learning curve...,
By
This review is from: Marchioro Jill 42.2 Hamster Resort Cage (Misc.)
THE GOOD:When I got the cage and opened the box, I knew it was good quality. The colors were nice and it was larger than the previous cage. Kyoko seemed to like it just as much as she spent at least 2 or more hours climbing everywhere, smelling this and running over that. She seemed to avoid the tubes at first but a little re-configuration seemed to solve that. She still prefers climbing the cage walls then the tubes though. The main plus her is that she fits and can move (she is a golden Syrian hamster.) She has been chewing on the cage and it has yet to show signs of wear. It is still as strong as the day I bought it. THE BAD: The assembly was straight forward but putting the tubes together was frustrating. It took many trials to perfectly line up the notches and then to only turn it enough to secure the tubes but not too much or it'll pop back out... (>_<) Also, my hamster has an appetite for plastic often ignoring the little wood chew sticks I give her. She managed to gnaw threw the plastic corner piece at the top so I had to use alternative means to secure it. THE UGLY: I was thankful for the litter pan until she decided to make her nest in that even after using it a few times. After that, I set up the little house with shredded paper towels and filled the main box with bedding. The box was filled with premium cat litter. She'd use it normally but after a few days shed cover it with bedding then. I still can't figure out why the change... I just dump the box litter every other day now. OVERALL: This cage was worth the money but the tube assembly (and easily chewed plastic) may frustrate you (^_^).

A great pain?,
This review is from: Marchioro Jill 42.2 Hamster Resort Cage (Misc.)
This product is really the delux "townhouse"for any hamster, but putting it together is not so fun. Everything goes great except the tubes. If you get that down and in well then it's all a breeze.

Pretty Good Cage,
A Kid's Review
This review is from: Marchioro Jill 42.2 Hamster Resort Cage (Misc.)
It's a good cage over all. Lots of things for your Hamster to explore and smell. You have a lot of space for chewing sticks, huts, food bowls etc etc.The bad part about it is putting it together and it's kinda a pain to clean if your hamster poops in every level or doesn't poop in the hamster potty you give it. But if you don't mind having to spend sometime picking poop of the two top levels and putting the thing together this is the best cage for you. =3
