"More Classic "Marcus Welby"",
By Terry Richard "Terry Richard" (Fredericton, New Brunswick, Canada) - See all my reviews (TOP 500 REVIEWER)
This review is from: Marcus Welby, M.D. Season Two (DVD)
Following the huge DVD sales of "Marcus Welby, M.D.-Season 1", "Shout! Factory" will be releasing "Marcus Welby, M.D.-Season 2" on October 12, 2010. This six disc set will feature all season 2 episodes, 24 in total, and will be uncut and cleaned from their original studio master tapes for impeccable quality.
This particular season of "Marcus Welby" is quite famous for it was the year the series would become the #1 show on network television in the United States, the first time ABC would accomplish such a feat. That year also featured a vast array of guest-stars such as Cloris Leachman, Jessica Walter, Larry Hagman, and Michelle Lee. The following is a list of season 2 episodes along with their titles and airdates: 1. "A Very Special Sailfish", Sept. 22, 1970 2. "The Worth of a Man", Sept. 29, 1970 3. "Warn The World About Mike", Oct. 6, 1970 4. "Epidemic", Oct. 13, 1970 5. "To Get Through The Night", Oct. 20, 1970 6. "Daisy In The Shadows", Oct. 27, 1970 7. "The Labrynith", Nov. 10, 1970 8. "The Girl From Rainbow Beach", Nov. 17, 1970 9. "Aura Of A New Tomorrow", Nov. 24, 1970 10. "Sounding Brass", Dec. 1, 1970 11. "To Carry The Sun In A Golden Cup", Dec. 8, 1970 12. "All The Golden Dandelions Are Gone", Dec. 15, 1970 13. "Brave On Mountain Top", Dec. 22, 1970 14. "Another Buckle For Wesley Hill", Jan. 5, 1971 15. "False Spring", Jan. 19, 1971 16. "The Passing of Torches", Jan. 26, 1971 17. "A Woman's Place", Feb 2, 1971 18. "A Spanish Saying I Made Up", Feb. 16, 1971 19. "Cynthia", Feb. 23, 1971 20. "Don't Kid A Kidder", March 2, 1971 21. Looking forward to Season 2,
By Brian S. Oye (SF Bay Area) - See all my reviews
This review is from: Marcus Welby, M.D. Season Two (DVD)
After waiting practically an eternity for Marcus Welby M.D. to be released on DVD (Season 1 released this past May), how nice it is to see that Shout! Factory is following up with a Season 2 release this October. Since I was able to finish every episode for season 1 within a week after purchasing the first set, October cannot come soon enough. But I can't complain... at least there IS a season 2 release date. Mary Tyler Moore Show season 2 took years to be released after season 1 and other classic TV series (Picket Fences, St. Elsewhere) haven't made it past a season 1 DVD set.

The doctor is in!,
Amazon Verified Purchase(What's this?)
This review is from: Marcus Welby, M.D. Season Two (DVD)
Even though the medical techniques are a little dated the overall interaction and premise are still very relevant. Robert Young portrays the doctor everyone wishes they had. This second season fell into stride and the cast made for a great team delivering excellent performances that play off each other well.
Can't wait for season 3!!
