About Upright Fan Bikes
Despite the competition from trendy new fitness inventions, exercise bikes continue to be popular options for home exercise. They offer the same aerobic benefits of riding a bicycle, but with the "any time, in any weather, from the comfort and safety of home" added convenience. Exercise bikes don't take up much space, require little or no balance or coordination, and can provide an effective work-out for all levels of users, from beginners to serious competitors. While the same could be said for a number of other types of home fitness equipment, the exercise bike is one of the few that allows you to watch television or read while you work out. With uniquely designed air-resistance systems that actually increase air flow towards the body, fan bikes make an exceptional improvement on the classic stationary bike. As you pedal faster, the cooling air flow increases, making for a more enjoyable and comfortable exercising experience. Plus, fan bikes are designed to mimic the posture and feel associated with road cycles. Exercising in this position helps users train muscles as if they were cycling in the outdoors. For many people, having convenient access to quality exercise equipment is critical to sticking with a long-term exercise program, and fan bikes can be the perfect tool.

It is very well constructed.

For the seat PEOPLE just put a dang towel on it, it's not as hard as a rock, it has some foam, but not as comfortable.

No resistance means no discernable way to increase exertion.

I have used this exercise bike for a month now and have lost 10 lbs. with exercise and dieting. This bike is very easy to assemble if you follow the directions completely. Although the seat is very uncomfortable I purchased a foam pad cover and it is much better to sit on now. I highly recommend this product for someone with limited exercising capabilities like myself. If used properly it will help you to lose weight. After using this bike for a month I checked all the bolts and nuts and every one is still as tight as when i assembled it. A very good product for the price.

After reading the directions for assembly requiring 2 or more people, I was a little frightened about trying it myself and did not have the specialized tools required so I had my son-in-law do it. Took him 20 minutes with no help.
The handle bars are a little short and I have to reach further than I would like and hunch for ward when I use them but other than that it is exactly what I was looking for. There is just enough resistance for me. I have bad hips and couldn't handle much more.
The seat is a little uncomfortable after about 10 minutes but I have a folded towel over it so it isn't so bad. Not sure if a gel cover would be enough padding if one wanted to buy one.
It is small and light and the front has little wheels making it easy to slide into a corner when you are finished with your workout.

If I could do it over again I would buy a different bike. I've had the bike for about 10 months and I can tell you it's VERY loud when you pedal, the fan does not cool you off, the seat is extremely uncomfortable, the handle bars are very awkward and you have to pedal pretty fast to get a good workout because the only resistance is the small fan. I'm saving my money to buy a different bike and tossing this one.

When I unpacked the bike I was impressed by the design and the quality of the construction. The instructions were clear and the bike assembled easily. It works great...Runs smoothly and quietly. I'm looking forward to using it daily. If there's a negative it's the seat, it's pretty hard. I've ordered a foam pad.

Back in January, I attempted to buy a fan bike from Amazon.com. They had a high quality bike that normally went for $220 that was marked down to $80. I went ahead and purchased it, happy with the fact I got a great deal. After a couple of days passed, I noticed that my credit card was not billed. I made several inquiries and I was told that Amazon didn't have the bike in stock and my order was subsequently cancelled. They then offered me this bike as a replacement, though it was listed at $120. After several hours of complaining and threatening legal action (bait and switch), they finally relented and gave me the bike at $80 (though I now needed to pay tax and increased shipping). When the bike arrived, I must say I was disappointed...there was no resistance settings...one speed, all the time. No matter how I adjust the seat, the handles are too far away and I am forced to lean in an uncomfortable position to work the handles. I get absolutely no work out...instead a sore back from leaning over.

This is the second time I found an item on Amazon that was a "great value" ($150 below invoice), and the second time I was unable to purchase the item even though I was told that I successfully purchased.

The product makes me work and sweat and that is good. Good workout, reasonable price, decent quality, well worth the dollars spent.

Beware the fan only cools around your ankles & this bike is EXTREMELY Noisy. I am afraid to use this in the morning as I don't want to wake the house. If watching the tv while riding I have to put the tv volume up high in order to hear it clearly over the noise. Assembly can be difficult and the arms are awkward

I got this exercise bike around christmas it was fairly easy to assembly, didn't take a lot of time. I was most
concerned with the amount of resistance. During the winter when I can't ride my bike outside this became my best
option for a work out. However riding 15 to 20 miles on this bike a day(sounds like a lot) I received no work out
at all I never even felt winded. I am not a stellar athlete either. Given the choice to do this again I wouldn't. The fact that you can not increase resistance is one of the worse drawbacks, along with the seat being
as hard as a rock.
