pros- seems sturdy, the preacher curl attachment and handle work really nice, it was easy to put together.
cons- the back cushion is pretty narrow, the pec fly handles dont allow for a natural fly motion exercise...it really forces your hands close to your chest at the top of the motion. it just doesnt feel natural, and the pec fly handles were the main selling point for me with this bench. if i had to do it again, i would probably look at purchasing a different bench; the pec fly handle option is not worth buying this bench in my opinion.

Pros: Sturdy, easy assembly(more or less 1 hour), straight-forward instructions, well-priced, preacher curl/pec fly attachment.

Cons: No lat attachment(no big deal), too narrow for wide-grip bench press.

Bottom line: Good deal for price. Entry-level.

Pec fly attachments wobble. Needs extra o-rings to increase stability and ease flow. Screws that hold pec fly attachments are completely bent after 1 month of use. (Weight used: 25 pounds each) Calling manufacturer to get bolts replaced.

the bar handles are too narrow, you cant get a wide grip on the bar to do the exercises, when you push up you have to narrow your grip to put the bar in the handles which is kinda dangerous, so that's no good. Obviously you can do close grip bench presses since that would eliminate you from changing from a wide grip to a narrow grip to release the bar. But you can use the bench itself to lay back on while using dumbbells. there's no real decline on this bench. The Butterfly attachments , I dont even use. The Curl attachment is something i liked...but the leg lift exercises hurt or feel uncomfortable so that was a big let down. You have to position yourself almost in a half situp position to do them,,which is kinda good for an overall workout but it's a bit of a struggle. I think if it was 30 less it would be worth to buy for the curl attachment and the bench itself, but every thing else is kindof a fail. Get a proper bench. If i would have done this again i would have gone to a store first to see the product. The padding is comfortable, but it actually looks larger than it really is. Im 5'6 and i feel uncomfortable in this bench...almost as if i was too big for this thing.

This a great buy for the price because my friends don't believe what Ive payed for it. Shipping was great it came in less than 5 days and took only an hr to put together. Overall size is decent, it fit in (small) room but I did have to move my bed and dresser around. Only tick I had with this machine is that the butterfly curls got in the way of my (flat) bench presses but it was very easy to remove and put them back in. That is the only reason reason why I didn't give this product five stars:

I purchased this as a gift for my boyfriend. He is over 6'4 and needed something that could accommodate both his height and his grip distance. This bench has exceeded my expectation. He says it's comfortable and he doesn't worry that his height and weight could cause it to fall apart on him. So far it seems he likes it enough to prevent it from becoming a clothes rack, so I am very satisfied!

Marcy Diamond MD 389 Standard Bench has a very neat design. It has strong structure and works very effective for a simple body workout especially toning out those muscles for the body. It comes with simple instructions and is very easy to put all the pieces together.

The product was shipped with all the pieces. Took a few hours to set up. The bench is good and firm, but too spacious. Other than that it's effective and great. I would def recommend it if you have some extra space in the house.

Great bench for the money. Strong and a good buy for light workouts and beginners. I would recommend it to a friend.

I bought this weight bench to start a exercise routine on a weekly basis.
It is a good product for the money I paid $92.87 + shipping. Assembly time was about 90 minutes with a helper. You have to be careful with the bolts on the butterfly attachment as they are soft metal and bend easily - I replaced them with some grade 8 bolts 5" long from the local hardware store. Other than that it performs as it should. I am glad to be working out on a regular basis and I am thinking about getting a Marcy Diamond Elite Smith System W/Linear Bearings.
On a budget this bench is a good value to get started and I am happy with it so far.
When I get the new Elite Smith System I will write a review on it !

This bench is SOLID. I was really supprised at the size of it. I've been using this bench every other day and I love it :) I highly recommend this bench to anyone :)
