I bought this unit to replace a much larger cage I had. We moved into a home without a garage so the home gym equipment had to move inside, thus we needed something a little smaller. I wanted to get a bench that allowed all the standard free weight movements plus I didn't want to lose my cable pull-downs for triceps work as I find they work best. This seemed to fit the bill and since there weren't many reviews in the first place I let the bad one roll off my shoulder, and gave it a shot.

Mistake.

This thing is utter crap. Right on the stand it says "Marcy. When you finally get serious" but what they don't tell you is the rest of the sentence which I imagine goes something like this "... get a better piece of equipment than this junker," which is what I SHOULD have done. So many things wrong, where do I start?

the thing feels flimsy. the tubes look big in the picture, and they ARE, but the metal itself is thin & lightweight. Not a good thing when you're relying on it to keep weight from killing you.

I'm 6' tall, and I have long arms on top of that. Even so, doing bench press is a chore. I have to take the weight posts and take the adjustment pins OUT and let them rest at their lowest point, because even at their lowest actual setting, they're just too high to even unrack the weights for a set. I have NO IDEA what the taller settings could possibly be for. They are useless.

THERE'S ABSOLUTELY NO SAFETIES. This is absurd.

This product took 3-4 weeks for delivery, beause the first one that was sent was lost, so it had to be reordered.
The set up took all day, hardware was missing.
This weight bench feels real rickety. If I could find some one who wanted it, I would get rid of it.

Do not buy this product. The Lat tower is a total waste, the Cushions are made of very cheap material and is made in China. Now coming to the Lat Tower, this does not work on Pulley system so when u put weights, the metal pipes go rubbing each other and you can have a big mess of powered coating paint all over the place. I put 50 pounds and the tower started to tilt whenever I pull. Also the other review is a fake and probably cretaed by the company itself.. DO NOT BUY THIS PRODUCT. PERIOD.

So far I am very happy with this product. It took me a little over two hours to put it together, but I wasn't in a hurry. It had few minor flaws but nothing big. One of the hooks that adjusts the seat was bent, and the tube that you slide the preacher curl pad into was pinched and it wouldn't fit. A pair of vice grips is all it took to fix it. The lat tower needs a little lube and it's ready to go. I have found that keeping your weights on the storage pegs and some on the lat tower helps to keep it more stable. The bench not being attatched to the rest of the unit makes it much more versitile. I have a 300lb weigt set and it seems to handle it just fine. I would recommend this bech to anyone.
