4.0 out of 5 stars cheaper at Academy Sports, October 1, 2008
This review is from: Marcy MWM-950 Home Gym with 150-Pound Weight Stack (Sports)
It can be purchased for less at academy sports. It has a lot of pieces but can be assembled in one night provided you are competant at keeping track of the pieces...the tools and pieces for assemble need a little nudging with a rubber mallet hammer at some points. once assembled it provides the workouts that it should...seems like a good deal for 200, but not at the 450 plus 150 in shipping...decent product but look around for cheaper places to purchase it

5.0 out of 5 stars Assemble in 2 hours, December 10, 2008

I like this Home Gym, I assembled in a couple of hours.

The bicep bar that comes with it is way too short !1.5ft, I went to Lowe's and bought a 3ft 3/8'' tube and replaced it, much better now.

As the other reviews say, you can find it a lot cheaper in stores, I got it from Sport Chalet for $350

4.0 out of 5 stars Fine inexpensive home gym, November 30, 2009

They did a good job of designing this for a home-assembly job. All the hardware is sealed in clear pockets on cardboard and clearly numbered. One person can do it if you take your time. A good allen wrench, a socket wrench, and a rubber mallet and some silicone spray lubricant are recommended. The manual has a few typos but nothing you can't figure out. Cheapest price was at Academy Sports. It doesn't have the smooth look of a gym machine but it's solid, does what it's supposed to and feels sturdy enough to last. Limit about 150 lb.

I looked at a lot of home gyms and this one has a lot of exercises for the price. It only took about 3 hours to assemble and works so smoothly. All the exercises use the same pulley system so the only thing you have to do is set the weights and go. I have it in a small room and it fits nicely in the corner so I have room for my treadmill too. I'm delighted with this gym!
