Marder III: The Rugged Panzerjager in Its Various Versions (Schiffer Military/Aviation History)

Well organized with the progression of Marder IIIs. Great photos. And a good value.

1.0 out of 5 stars Ahhhh, wellll, not good at all.
Ok, it's cheap, but is not good at all. There are many books on the Marder series better than this one, the photos are badddddd, most look like photocopies. And some are even repeated and with different captions! Really, this one its not you.

4.0 out of 5 stars Good Solid book on a solid AT gun, August 14, 2009

This review is from: Marder III: (Schiffer Military/Aviation History) (Paperback)
At 48 pages long, you know you are not going to get every little nut and bolt out of this book. However, it does provide a very good background of why the Germans decided to built this anti tank gun, how it performed. Pleanty of B&W photos to show differences in the variations of the tanks. The photos are from every season, every front. There is a page of statistical date on the Marder III.

I would liked to have seen more line drawings of the equipment and tank, color photos for modelers, but other than that, this is a fine book on a vehicle that was a good, but not great weapon system created in a time of dire need by the Germans.
