One of my lifelong goals has been to write and publish a book. The closest I came to reaching this goal before now was winning a Young Authors Conference in the 5th grade. To all my current students, it CAN be done! I currently teach 5th and 6th grade math in Illinois.

This was a neat book, the way the author used the alphabet to teach about Mardi Gras, but it would be better for older children. A lot of the information would go over K-2 students' heads. I bought this book to read to my Kindergarteners, but I ended up having to paraphrase some of the information when reading it.
