One of my favorite CD's. Great variety and wild beats.,

This has become one of my all time favorite CD's. Listen to it LOUD, listen to it often. You will not be disappointed. Various New Orleans styles represented here and done well. Track 1 by Bo Dollis and the Wild Magnolias is the BEST version I've ever heard of this song. Don't take my word for it - buy it and hear for yourself. In the meantime do a little research on the Mardi Gras and songs like "Big Shot" by Marcia Ball take on a whole new meaning. Try "Do Whatcha Wanna,Pt 3" by the Rebirth Brass Band. This song had a college girl break into a dance while walking by my car in a parking lot while I was listening to it.

Just plain fun music.,
By David B Lyssy (Hiuston, TX) - See all my reviews

I bought this CD after hearing a song on a San Antonio college station. The song is "Funky Liza" by The New Orleans Nightcrawlers. Its a funky brass band, party/dance song. If this song doesn't make you jump and smile you need sereious help. The rest of the album is good but this song is a diamond. Check it out on the sample Amazon provides. You will believe!
