Adriana Calcanhotto belongs to the newest generation of MPB(Brazilian Popular Music)singer/songwriters which includes Carlinhos Brown @ Chico Cesar ,among others.She burst on the scene in the early 90s writing for celebrities such as Maria Bethania and Gal Costa,yet also spawning her own hits as a singer.This Cd,Maré, stands alone in an already burgeoning catalog of albums she has released in the sense that it appeals to both Brazilian and international audiences.The title track penned by herself as well as the current radio hit "Mulher sem razão" showcase her versatility as composer as well as a performer.A true winner!
