Accessing my Instapaper feed is one of the main reasons I bought a Fire. This app does not disappoint, with the exception of $6.99 being a little steep.

I wish Mr. Instapaper wasn't so anti-Kindle Fire. Google his harsh review. This app is sorely lacking in comparison to the one he developed for iphone. and expensive. I wish he'd cave and make an app for Fire users-- not everyone wants/needs an ipad! -- but everyone loves Instapaper!

I was concerned about purchasing this app as it has a couple of really bad reviews as well as some good ones. However, I am glad to be able to report that it is truly excellent and I have no concerns over its abilities. It seems to do everything I want from an Instapaper app, even though it is independently produced. I want to address the concerns I saw in other reviews to assure potential buyers that the issues raised do not exist.

1. Page turning
While it is true that the last line of pages is hidden at the bottom of the screen on the Kindle Fire the app can be configured to scroll up and down as a single page instead of using the page turning metaphor, removing any problems hidden text.

2. Font size
Not only is the font size controllable there is a choice between serif and sans-serif fonts.

3. Image display
The app lets users choose whether to download and display images in articles, which is useful for any articles with charts or maps in them.

4. Sync control
The app can be configured to download and sync all your articles or just those in particular folders.

5. Kindle Fire compatibility
I have not found any feature which does not work on the Kindle Fire. As far as I can tell, this app is completely compatible and it certainly meets all the needs I have from an Instapaper app.

It has good usability, and it reads articles aloud to me. Good product for Instapaper articles. It works well with my compact Android devices, like my Dell Streak or my Samsung Galaxy Note.

I was sad to learn Instapaper was not on the Amazon App Marketplace. But imagine my surprise to learn that an unofficial app did the same thing, and very well, thank you very much! Love the page turning, and fast syncing. It's very well designed and programmed - worth every penny!

tl;dr A functional, reliable InstaPaper reader on both phones and tablets. RSS + Google Reader + InstaPaper + InstaFetch = news reading nirvana

Having recently decided to try and organize the massive amounts of information I expose myself to on a daily basis, I found InstaPaper to be a wonderful service. Not owning an iOS device, I looked for Android-based alternatives for when I wasn't at a PC. The InstaPaper website actually works pretty well on mobile, but I wanted to be able to read especially when I didn't have data service like on a plane or in a tunnel. InstaFetch is eventually the solution I picked and I've been very happy with it. I used it on my G2 for about a month without any problems at all before I got a Kindle Fire. Now I find that occasionally the last line of text gets clipped by the scroll bar on my Fire, but I think that's the Fire's fault, not this app's. Things are properly kept in sync between the two devices (though that's InstaPaper's doing, it means that InstaFetch is using the service correctly).

The look and feel of app has been recently updated and looks pretty classy.

My only wish is that it cached images a little more reliably, but this could easily be the fault of my data sources and not the app.

I have Instapaper for my iPhone, and thought this app would be great for the Fire; but it's not the same developer and it shows. The content that gets synced with my Instapaper account has no relation to the articles tagged through instapaper. The article names are the same, just the content is a completely different article. I wrote to Amazon and got refunded.

Do not buy this trash.
I was very surprised when I noticed this app only had 6 reviews. When I first purchased Instapaper when it first came on the Iphone I was blown away. My only problem had always been reading from the much smaller screen of the phone.

I paid 4 dollars and 99 cents for this crap after paying 2 dollars and 99 cents for "read it later". I did it because I had very high expectations of this app. "Read it later" is now 10x better than this waste.

This app used to (when I had it on Iphone) do the following:
Feed Option for editor's choice
Long reads
many blogs and magazines.
Archived
Morning news

The best part was you never had to leave the app. You do the search and they all come to you.

Now, even if you go to a website trying to feed an article into it, you go through perhaps 3 steps and it doesn't always show or it's blank.

There's got to be a way to get a refund!

I will be looking out for the name of the maker of this app so that they never get a penny from me again.

Will work with kindle fire except when using page turning feature. When using this feature, the last line of every page is blocked by menu bar.
