Liza N. Burby is the author of How to Publish Your Children's Book (Square One Publishers), 38 nonfiction children's books, and a YA novel due out next year. She is also an award-winning freelance journalist who has been writing features for Newsday for 11 years and is the editor of the top-rated parenting magazine Newsday's Parents & Children. Her articles have also appeared in national publications like Better Homes & Gardens, Ladies' Home Journal, Child and Writer's Digest and newspapers including the New York Times, Los Angeles Times and Baltimore Sun. Liza is also an adjunct professor in the journalism program at Adelphi University in Garden City, NY.
