THIS BOOK WAS EASY READING. LIKED THE CONCEPT OF GIRLS IN BOY SPORTS. VERY UPLIFTING TO KNOW THAT GIRLS CAN COMPETE WITH BOYS AND STILL BE FEMALES. THE SWAMP SCENES MAKE YOU FEEL LIKE YOUR REALLY THERE FIGHTING WITH THE GATORS. GREAT BOOK. HOPE THERE'S A SEQUEL SOON. WOULD MAKE GREAT FILM.

This is an action-packed story about a young girl who goes through great difficulty to realize her dreams of being a football player. It is a very inspiring story, and it is fun and interesting to read too. I read it along with my kids one evening, and found myself sitting up with it that night. I just had to find out what happened next, I could not wait until the next day to read it with my kids! This is a really fun book.

What an exciting story of a young adult fighting to overcome athletic discrimination. Besides the thrill of the games, Campanelli includes mysterious kidnappings and frightening swamp chases. I hope there's a sequel soon!
