It so happened I was just looking for a book about girls and sports and came across this one. I had never heard of the author before, but my daughter said she loved the book.

5.0 out of 5 stars What a wonderful book, March 17, 2000
This review is from: Margarita: The Case of the Numbers Kidnapper (Paperback)
This is an action-packed story about a young girl who goes through great difficulty to realize her dreams of being a football player. It is a very inspiring story, and it is fun and interesting to read too. I read it along with my kids one evening, and found myself sitting up with it that night. I just had to find out what happened next, I could not wait until the next day to read it with my kids! This is a really fun book.

5.0 out of 5 stars Exciting and inspiring tale of young athlete., March 16, 2000
This review is from: Margarita: The Case of the Numbers Kidnapper (Paperback)
What an exciting story of a young adult fighting to overcome athletic discrimination. Besides the thrill of the games, Campanelli includes mysterious kidnappings and frightening swamp chases. I hope there's a sequel soon!
