4.0 out of 5 stars Margo's Choice October 23, 2013
Format:Kindle Edition|Verified Purchase
Margo has been divorced from her husband for years when he re-enters her life. They have a beautiful daughter who loves him from afar. However, Jay refuses to believe that she is his biological child. Margo has carried the load of parenting for a long time but is still hopeful that Jay will wake-up, grow up and acknowledge their daughter.
This is a good book with a great story-line showcasing very believable characters, warts and all.

5.0 out of 5 stars Hero makes you want to help reform him September 25, 2012
By Scarlet
Format:Kindle Edition|Verified Purchase
The hero in this book is flawed, but the reasons behind those flaws make you want to take him in hand and teach him how to love. This is a well crafted story written with a southern voice that makes you feel like you've come home. I really enjoyed reading this story.

5.0 out of 5 stars Real October 15, 2012
Format:Kindle Edition
Sexy, Southern and Real. I felt as if I was sitting around a table with my friends drinking sweet tea (with a lil vodka) discussing our lives. Love the way it was written in first and third person. The struggles with children, sexuality and exes is so identifiable to many women I know. I hated to see it end.

5.0 out of 5 stars Difficult choices September 25, 2012
Format:Kindle Edition|Verified Purchase
Unconventionally written in first and third point of views, this story takes us deep into the problem of a family that could be your next-door neighbor's. The father continuously away to defend his country; the mother left alone to struggle, raise her daughters, work, study, help her in-laws. Separation is hard on everyone. The characters are flawed, realistic, and appealing. Each trying to survive under difficult circumstances, and protect himself/herself from hurt. Until they are forced to confront the past, their mistakes, and their feelings. An interesting story quite different from other women fictions.

Once I started reading Margo's Choice I could not put the book down. I was immediately in love with the assortment of characters and the way their relationships intertwined with each other. I was sad when the book ended!

More About the Author

Mary Marvella has been a storyteller for as long as she can remember. She made up the "Let's Pretend" situations for the neighborhood kids. The arrival of the book mobile was as exciting as hearing the music of the ice cream truck, more, since she could check out books but seldom had the money for the ice cream. Her parents preferred letting her walk to the corner store for less money. She still pinches pennies.

When Mary's daughter was small, story time often meant Mama made up stories. Now retired from teaching the classic works of the masters, Mary writes her own stories and reads modern novels.

Georgia raised, she writes stories with a Southern flair.
