This is a very fine collection of Ms. Henry's books. One of my very favorite books as a child was "King of the Wind" and it was because I was looking it up that I found this collection. For anyone, young or old, who wants to enter into the wonderful, and magical world created by a well-crafted story, these three books will take the reader, and transport her/him into the lives of Agba, Joel Goss, and Paul and Maureen Beebe, and the horses that meant the world to them. There just is nothing like the relationship between a horse and the person who loves (and is loved in return) that horse! And there is no feeling on earth like the one you get on top of a horse, riding off down the trail. These books give the reader a look into the changes the love of a horse can bring about in a person's life, and I heartily recommend the books, especially if you haven't got a horse!

I purchased this set of books for my 8 year old granddaughter. She loves horses and really loved these books.

I bought this for a young girl; she loves it. Arrived quickly and in great shape.

It was nice to find this set to pass on to another little girl, the love of horses.

I loved these books when I was younger and my niece is sooooo into horses. She is in love with the books now as well. I was the "cool" aunt because we talked about what she read. It is a great feeling.

I loved Marguerite Henry's books as a child! I'm hoping my niece, who loves horses, will like them as much as I did!

Sent this book set to a ten year old girl in love with horses. She, like thousands of others over the years, will love Marguerite Henry's horse novels.

The story itself and interior illustrations are terrific in every way. However, it is a shame that the publisher of these editions opted for atrocious quality cover artwork in place of Wesley Dennis's original cover art. The horses in the new cover art have deformed conformation. They are poorly painted and their colors and markings are inaccurate. For this travesty itself, I give this book set two stars.
