A good sampling of early work by the leading Brazilian singe, October 30, 2004

I enjoyed both albums thoroughly and they are from very early in her career, 3rd and 4th on her discography. So it is good to see where she started, especially when you know her later work. It is also a sampling of songs by other respected Brazilian artists. There are some unique arrangements as well, including a medley that includes a theme from BLACK ORPHEUS, the famous 1959 film. I recommend Maria for anyone who is interested in Brazilian music.
