At last, I've found it: the definite Maria Callas collection, June 28, 2001

Yes! This is it! I'm not one of the opera fans who always rate Callas recordings with five stars( in fact I rarely do this) but on this set one will experience the essence of Maria Callas. A unique Leonora, a great Norma, an even greater Bolena! Bellini, Donizetti and many Verdi roles were roles Callas was born to sing! I would have prefered in stead of the Spontini moment, her Lady Macbeth which, to me, was her greatest role (what a pitty she never recorded it in studio).But let us not be too demanding. Besides, on this cd you also get to hear legendary names like Mario Del Monaco, Franco Corelli and G. Simionato! A truly remarkable compilation!
