This double CD documents the emergence of the superstar musician who shunned the US jazz and rock sounds his contemporaries were into, instead choosing to delve deep into the heart of Brazil and his region Minas Gerais. The CD features a whoâs who of Brazilian artists from the 70s inc. legendary Brazilian vocalists Fafá de Belém and Nana Caymmi and Paulo Jobim.
These CDs are bursting with ideas, influences and heady experimentation, showing an artist pushing himself to his limit and creating the styles that would make him a legend throughout Brazil.

Earned a spot in my carrosel...,

This review is from: Maria Maria//O Ultimo Trem (Audio CD)
This CD is the soundtrack from two Brazillian ballets: Maria, Maria & Ultimo Trem. The first, Maria Maria has only a few good tunes, with many being from the ill fated electronic-music-over-Milton Dos Pillarges (sp?) album. Yuch, end of review. The second, Ultimo Trem is pure unadulterated Milton joy. This CD has earned a permanent spot in my player's turn table. If you love the classic Milton (of Cube Da Esquina, Milton & Journey to Dawn) you will LOVE Ultimo Trem!
