versus
2.0 out of 5 stars video & tune NOT in sync
Mariah Carey is one of the best vocalist ever and the videos are really good.
What makes this video bad is that the video and music do not sync. The video is behind about a half second so when you are watching it is irritating to see the mouth not syncing with the music.
BAD RECORDING THAT IS. It just sucks to see a real good artist get ruined by bad recording.

5.0 out of 5 stars #1 Music Video Collection!, December 23, 2002
This review is from: Mariah Carey - #1's (DVD)
As far as music video DVD's, this is by far the best one! I would like to see the actual video for "Vision Of Love" on there because I really like it, but that's ok, the rest makes up for it. My favorite videos are "Heartbreaker," "Heartbreaker (Remix)," and "Honey." "Heartbreaker" is a great video, and Mariah looks so hot as the evil Bianca! The fighting scene is hilarious. "Honey" is a really hot video, the video that expressed Mariah's freedom and was actually what she wanted to do! It's great. "Heartbreaker (Remix)" is awesome, and she washes Snoop's car, it's funny. I love this DVD. If you liked this DVD, you whould check out the DVD "Around The World" (also by Mariah) which includes the videos for "The Roof," "Butterfly," and "Breakdown" for those of you that compained that this only had #1 videos on it. I don't think this whole #1 concept was a stupid idea, but I think a 2 or maybe 3 disk DVD set with every music video she's ever done on it would be great... of course at the end of her career, when she's done making videos. This is a really great DVD, a must have for any Mariah fan or music lover. I reccomend it to anyone! Enjoy!

5.0 out of 5 stars Add this to your collection!, July 30, 2000
By A Customer
This review is from: Mariah Carey: No. 1's [VHS] (VHS Tape)
This is one of my favorite DVDs by an artist. If you're a fan of Mariah Carey, i definitely recommend it. It contains the music videos for nine of her chart-topping hits and performances of her other 5 chart-topping hits adding up to a total of 14 videos. Watching the videos and performances adds so much to the songs. The performances included in this DVD were taken from her previous home vidoes including "Mariah Carey," "MTV Unplugged," and "Fantasy: Mariah Carey at Madison Square Garden." Mariah talks in between the videos and tells a little bit about each. At the beginning of the video you see Mariah at the release party for the album. As a special bonus, the DVD version has the music video for the "Heartbraker (Remix)" featuring Da Brat and Missy Elliott. The VHS version does not contain the bonus video. The best thing about this collection is that you can't get bored of watching it.

The tracklisting is as follows:

Heartbreaker (featuring Jay-Z)
My All
Honey
Always Be My Baby
One Sweet Day (w/ Boyz II Men)
Fantasy (featuring O.D.B)
Hero (performance taken from "Mariah Carey" home video) Dreamlover
I'll Be There (featuring Trey Lorenz) (performance taken from "MTV Unplugged" home video)
Emotions
I Don't Wanna Cry
Someday (performance taken from "MTV Unplugged" home video), Love Takes Time (performance taken from "Mariah Carey" home video)
Vision Of Love (performance taken from "Fantasy: Mariah Carey at Madison Square Garden" home video)

This is definitely by favorite Mariah video release. I hope that a DVD is released of all her music videos in the future, but for the time being, this definitely does the job.

5.0 out of 5 stars This DVD is "#1", July 19, 2004
A Kid's Review
This review is from: Mariah Carey - #1's (DVD)
A great collection of essential Mariah videos. This DVD was realesed about a year after the album, so "Heartbreaker" starts off the DVD. "Thank God I Found You" is not featured on this DVD because of the time realesed. Some live performances are substituted for various videos (The rare ones, of course). The special features are a video for Heartbreaker (Remix) and her bio. Bottom line: a good collection with an unrealesed video. A #1 in my book.

4.0 out of 5 stars Lovely Mariah, June 30, 2006
A Kid's Review
This review is from: Mariah Carey - #1's (DVD)
1) Vision of Love- pretty good live performance, her vocals are top-notch. I still wish we had the video.
2) Love Takes Time- another good live performance, I like the beginning of it.
3) Someday- very enthusiastic live performance, probably my favorite "live video" on here. It's from the Unplugged segement and Mariah really lets loose.
4)I Don't Wanna Cry- first true video on here. Mariah sits in the corner of the room staring at her soon-to-be ex. It's not the most exciting video, but the guy in it is cute.
5) Emotions- love this video. Mariah riding in a car, and partying with friends. There's some goofy dancing and weird color-tinted cineomotography, but's it's fun.
6) I'll Be There- not too crazy about this live video, but Trye Lorenz is amazing.
7) Dreamlover- my favorite Mariah video. It's so happy and fun. This is the Mariah I love. She should never have changed her image from this. LOve the outdoorsy feel.
8) Hero- very differrent from the album version, her voice is powerhouse here.
9)Fantasy (Remix)- I like this video, but it's a tad boring. Nothing really happens, except she rides a roller coaster.
11) One Sweet Day- just footage from the recording studio. Nothing great.
12) Always Be My Baby- love this video. Another "outdoosy" video, and I love the tire swing. Very cute.
13) Honey- ewww, no. The "new Mariah". Too James Bond-esque for me, and I hate the song anyway.
14) My All- very dark, mysterious video. THe guy in it is hott.
15) Heartbreaker- cute movie-studio video, and the catfight was great.

4.0 out of 5 stars Very good, but it was missing a few things, June 14, 2005
A Kid's Review
This review is from: Mariah Carey - #1's (DVD)
This was a very great collection of Mariah's videos, and I'm glad that she added on that Heartbreaker Remix; it's a great song! I was a little disapointed that some her first videos. such as "Vision of Love," "Someday," and "Love Takes Time," were peformances, I would have really liked to have seen the videos. Some other things that Mariah was missing were her newest vidoes that were added on the #1's Cd, I would have liked to have seen those videos too! Even though the DVD was missing a few things, it was still a great buy! I encourage anyone who is trying to become a Mariah Carey fan, to buy this.

5.0 out of 5 stars Awsome video, August 17, 2002

This review is from: Mariah Carey: No. 1's [VHS] (VHS Tape)
This is a great video of all #1 video's. In between the video's there is a little interview with mariah. In the beginning there is also a little thing were they show little clips of mariah videos with the my all remix playing. The only bad part of this is that some of her earlier songs are live performance that you can find on other videos. If your going to buy this try to buy the dvd because it has heartbreaker the remix.

4.0 out of 5 stars Mariah's Magical Videos, June 22, 2006
A Kid's Review
This review is from: Mariah Carey - #1's (DVD)
In addition to being a fabulous vocalist, Mariah Carey has had some pretty awesome videos over the years. My favorites have to "Emotions" (she looks soooo beautiful in it), "Dreamlover"(pretty farm setting, love the denim shorts), and the hilariously corny "Heartbreaker". I deducted one star for two reasons: 1) Why are half the vids life performances? I wanted to see the real "Someday" video!, and 2) the interviews with Mariah could of been a little more informative (she basically said the same thing in eack one). But this is nevertheless an essential DVD for all TRUE lambs.

Mariah Carey is a true talent. The videos are hot, The singing is hot. A lot of artist today dont have the staying power like Mariah, they are package and sent out without much talent to start with.
