Marianne Richmond — writer, artist and inspirationalist — has touched the lives of millions over the past decade through her award-winning books that put feelings into words and help you connect with the people + moments that matter.
For two decades, Marianne ran her own publishing company, winding down in 2010 to make way for a partnership with Sourcebooks, Inc., one of the leading and largest independent publishers in North America. Since then, she has s traveled the country, reading to and speaking with thousands of children about finding their own voice through the written word. Says Richmond, "I share my story of growing up with seizures and encourage kids and grownups to celebrate their individuality." Though Publisher’s Weekly calls her “an author on the rise,” Richmond's favorite letter is from an elementary school teacher who said, “I feel like a better me after reading your books.”
Marianne lives in Minneapolis, MN with her husband, four kids, and their beloved Border Collie, Otis. Favorite things include coffee, hiking, reading memoirs, digital scrapbooking, sleeping, watching sappy movies, going on vacation, hanging out with girlfriends, eating ice cream after the kids are sleeping, and simply creating something from nothing.
