Book Description

January 26, 1993

In these live recordings of Success in the World and Giving up Failure, Marianne Williamson continues her popular series of interpretive lectures on A COURCE IN MIRACLES.

Ideas of success, money, power, and material things often occupy the place of God in our society. In these lectures Marianne shows how achieving real success in the world depends on our ability to offer something of value to the universe with honor and respect. It is by believing that we are "God's gift to the world" and workingwith love that we succeed.

Is letting go of the idea of failure, we then have a choice to look at each experiance as an opportunity for growth. Marianne tells us we are willing to begin again and learn from our experiances and relationships, we will always have success.

About the Author

Marianne Williamson began sharing her understanding of the principles embodied in A Course in Miracles in 1983 with a small gathering of people in Los Angeles.

Since then, she has become a leading teacher and guide for the Course, a self-study program of spiritual psychotherapy. Williamson now lectures and ministers to rapidly growing audiences in the United States and abroad.

Her new title The Healing of America comes out from Simon and Schuster this spring.

She has 20 lecture tapes available from HarperAudio as well as her blockbuster A Return to Love.

From AudioFile

Williamson's breezy attitude and indefatigable good humor are delivered in a tempo that outdoes all presently know automatic weaponry. Possibly those who find her appealing respond primarily to youthful vigor. E.T. (c)AudioFile, Portland, Maine
