3.0 out of 5 stars Great but simple July 17, 2011

The game itself has a great concept and does take some strategy, but really its a pretty simple UI with less than stellar graphics. With some giant leaps in graphics and more challenging levels I can see this being a great game. For Strategy types I recomend Majestic and the now classic Age of Conquest: Europe

Minimal permissions, only Wake Lock

Zero code issues - no analytics or anything else

Installed at less than 3MB, and frankly trying to move it to an SD card, which it can't, wouldn't save any practical space... if you are that desperate to save a megabyte or so, then it may be time to start clearing some stuff out.

No external links

And yes, yes indeed, very simple gameplay though the real time build-up of island forces does use a bit of timing and decision making on how to proceed in a RISK-like fashion. On the surface, it's a good Kid Choice game.

But in spite of all that, I found it terribly dull and shallow, and I did give it a good try with an open mind, even got "promoted" in the campaign. No actual benefits with ranking up, however. Like I said, a stupefying superficial game that reminds me of something from the 80s Arcade, one of those that collects dust over by skee ball prize ticket counter.

Although I don't normally take into account pricing (what may be worth to me, may not be to you, and vice versa), I know without a doubt if I had paid $2.99 for this, I'd be pretty torqued. Heck, I don't even care for it as free... Still, may be worth checking out today to see if you dig it. At least you won't have any under-the-hood concerns.

3.0 out of 5 stars Kinda fun, but not $3 fun. July 17, 2011
Verified Purchase
If you grabbed this for free, you paid about what it's worth. Game play is simple and multiplayer is enjoyable, but the game is sluggish and repetative enough to keep me from starting it up against the CPU. Despite the name, there is a noticeable lack of specialized finches.

3.0 out of 5 stars Like Galcon, but less fun July 17, 2011
Verified Purchase
This game is like galcon, only slower and without all the variations and the multiplayer options. this game is ok for free, but if you're going to buy this type of game you should get galcon instead.

3.0 out of 5 stars Not Much Strategies Involved May 7, 2015
Verified Purchase
As far as I can see, the only strategies involved are:
- capture the nearest islands (because they take less time for your troops to get there);
- capture neutral islands first;
- capture the biggest islands first (because troops will grow faster on a larger island)
Other than the above, it's just a matter of tap, tap, tap because the AI (enemy) will pause between successive attacks, but you don't have to; or wait for the enemies to fight it out then capture one of their decimated islands; but if there is more than one enemy & both start out with more troops than you, you better hope they fight each other instead of targeting you because there is no way you're going to survive - strategies or no strategies.

Graphics are crude and, while you can turn off the sound through your device's Menu button, there isn't much you can customize. You can't, for example, set the speed of troop deployment to be faster. Well, at least this game is free from malware, doesn't use the Internet, and exits cleanly, but I must say it's VERY AVERAGE (some might even find it boring), and certainly not worth $2.99!

1.0 out of 5 stars No Real AI July 17, 2011
Verified Purchase
I have been playing a few hours now and although the game is not hard I must say that basing an AI on "Attack Player 1" for every other player is quite annoying.

1.0 out of 5 stars Skip this one, Galcon is much better. July 17, 2011

For the same kind of gameplay with a much better feel, download Falcon instead. This one isn't bad, just not the best.
