Marie Rhodes RN is a member of the scientific advisory board of the Annette Funicello Fund for Research of Neurological Diseases. She has been living with Multiple Sclerosis since 1991 and was the second persontreated for CCSVI in the U.S. in 2009. She used her unique background to investigate the new theory that MS may have a significant venous component and to write her first book on this topic titled "CCSVI as the Cause of Multiple Sclerosis: The Science behind the Controversial Theory".
