Mariel Hemingway touches on all aspects of living a healthy lifestyle.
It's important how we eat as well as what we eat. She taught me to take the time to make each meal a sit down affair, to be mindful of what I'm eating as well as how and where I'm eating. No more standing up at the fridge or kitchen sink and gulping things out before leaving the house. I also liked her recommendation of a particular protein powder since I have been hearing so many mixed messages about the good and the bad with using them. It's not a preachy sermon type book as she share's her own imperfections and mistakes she has made along the way and continues to make as she tries to get it right..along with the rest of us. I will lend this out to family and friends as soon as I listen to it 100 more times and it sinks in. |
