I absolutely loved the movie Marigold. It's over the top, ridiculous and fabulous all at the same time. I have watched it over and over again to replay all the amazing dance numbers and to enjoy the American version of Bollywood entertainment. The soundtrack is just the same. The music is great, the songs are all songs from the movie and it's great for driving and singing in the car. My only complaint is that the soundtrack is a little too short. Otherwise, I would recommend it to anyone who loved Marigold!

Although it is hard to tell, this CD is the SOUNDTRACK to the movie Marigold. It is NOT the DVD of the movie.

Still, if you have seen the movie and you like it as much as I do, you probably have favorite songs that you would love to listen to again and again. Here is where to get those songs! Unfortunately, the CD is out of print, so you might need to find the music in other places, such as one of those services that provides downloadable music. I put the music from this CD onto my Apple iPod classic 160 GB and enjoy listening to my favorites.

The songs are by turns tender, sweet, romantic, and dynamic. I love them all, though my favorites are Seven Stages of Love, That's Love, and Tan Man (which accompanies one of the best scenes in the movie--the one where Marigold starts to improvise in her dancing; it's the volcano scene, for those of you who have seen the movie). The songs on this CD are:

I love this movie, I rented it in blockbuster, and I just had to have it. I mean it's one of my favorite bollywood movies. It makes more sense to a Westerner. You get it in "her" point of view. I also like the fact that it wasn't like a cheesy bollywood movie like they are known to be sometimes, it was funny, sweet, sad, and beautiful.
