For serious fans only, November 9, 2002
This CD is from Manson's early Spooky Kids band, with the original version of my monkey. The track strange same dogma is very like dogma but with slightly different lyrics. The CD contains live footage of some early spooky kids songs, but unfortunately they don't give you the titles of the songs. The CD is worth it though, with tracks like Sam Son of man, my monkey and strange same dogma on the album. For serious fans only.

The best from a "home video" recording, July 20, 2009
This review is from: Marilyn Manson : Birth of the Anti-Christ (DVD)
Featuring a mix of live performing and animation, this DVD presents an interesting doco about then on-way-to-a-fame young different band rather than an event entertaining a viewer.
Producers did the best from a "home video" recording.

Metamorphosis: Brian Warner --> Marilyn Manson --> The Anti-Christ, March 24, 2008
Watching the Metamorphosis of Brian Warner into Marilyn Manson, and The Anti-Christ (one face, anyway) is an experience well worth viewing. When I watched this, my opinion of the DVD was "ok," but in context and after thinking about the other VHS and DVD materials available I must recommend this.
My perception of this DVD was created, at first, as a comparison with Marilyn Manson's live performances, videos, etc. However, this DVD gives us the raw footage of his transformation, and considering his budget (or lack thereof) he did one hell of a job putting on a real SHOW.
This is the gritty, raw, early years material....before the elaborate concerts and massive props. Watching him "make do" with what he had available is fascinating, and the more you think about his stage sets the more you can appreciate his brilliance. Marilyn Manson could turn a garage sale into a stage set. He is certainly a real showman.
