this video was fantastic!!! manson must have spent a fortune getting all kinds of camera shots. let's see, what songs were on there...um...well, it starts out with some close-minded christians running around with their ridiculous signs in front of a manson concert. then it grinds right into 'angel with the scabbed wings'. the other songs on the tape are '1996', 'lunchbox', 'apple of sodom', 'sweet dreams', kinderfeld', 'antichrist superstar', 'the beautiful people' and i think that's about it. all of the concerts are filmed live from one of the 'dead to the world' tour stages. highlights: you get to see marilyn actually smile and laugh, you get to see twiggy give manson oral sex, ginger puts the end of a fork in his mouth and wiggles it back and forth, someone hits manson with a green popple on stage, manson takes a shower while fuming, twiggy pukes..twice!, some french prostitute takes her top off, manson swims naked in a pool, pogo throws a chair at a wall, twiggy falls down on stage and has to get helped back up, manson explains why he doesn't drink coffee and what made him resent christianity so early in life, up-close-and-personal with the devoted fans, The Slashers!

parts you shouldn't let your parents see: just about every backstage part. manson cuts himself during sweet dreams. manson does this cool crab-walk pelvic-thrust thingy during 'lunchbox'. manson humps the mike stand one time.

anyway, there's a lot of stuff on there that might offend the staunchest mansonite. but, once you get used to it, you can laugh at it.

all in all, i highly recommend it.

If you think you know Marilyn Manson simply because you've read about him and listen to his music on a daily basis, well I've got news for you: You don't know jack$h!% until you've watched this video! Even the most devoted fans might be shocked or even offended by what they see on this 60 minute film about the controversial band's "Antichrist Superstar" concert tour. In the first 5 minutes of the video, you'll see footage of christians singing gospel hymns & witnessing to Manson fans outside of the arenas before the concerts. As an atheist, I bursted out laughing at the lengths that these christians went to just to get their message across to all of the Manson fans. Singing, dancing, praying, preaching from the bible, holding signs that say "Manson, Jesus Loves You" and stuff like that, it was just funny. Then the cameras take us inside the arena as Manson appears on stage to kick things off by singing "The Angel With the Scabbed Wings." Manson is interviewed throughout the program and explains why he hates christianity so much and how he feels when religious people attack him & refuse to let their children come to see him perform. There's a lot of blurred faces and disguised voices on this tape, and can be a bit annoying. Even Manson's voice during some of the interviews sounds audibly crasp, but if you've got good hearing, you should be able to make out what he's saying. Other live songs include Kinderfield, Sweet Dreams, Antichrist Superstar, Lunchbox, and Apple of Sodom, which I consider to be my favorite song on the video. Also, you'll see clips of Manson performing 1996 and Rock 'n' Roll N*****. Manson is a very outspoken speaker and exercises it by giving some interesting speeches at various concerts. A lot of the backstage footage is rather tasteless & very shocking, so don't watch this tape if you're easily offended. Don't say I didn't warn you! This video contains nudity, strong language, disturbing images, and mature subject matter.

I personally think that this is the most extreme, intense and superb live video I have ever seen. Many people hate Marilyn because he is so extreme, but that is why I respect him. He isn't fake, you'll see that on this video. He is not Brian Warner, he has made a lifestyle choise and is now 100% antichrist superstar. He doesn't compromise his lifestyle, and I got the impression from the video that he's just as extreme off stage as on stage. Highlights on the video include live-versions of : Sweet Dreams, Apple of Sodom ( just too spooky = totally cool), Beutiful People and the classic Lunch box ( which is filmed extremely cool, exellent camera man). If your a Manson fan you have to get this as much as any of his cd's, a future classic. The only bad thing about the video that I can think of is the bad sound qvality on some of the backstage footage (not the live stuff). Go get it, and make your collection complete.

video was kinda lame. if i ever meet manson i'm going to ask him to personally refund my 20 bucks. the only good scene was the song where he was all "cover me in snow." the rest of the video was pretty stupid. the backstage shots were too short and not very clear. there were lots of gross moments, like manson swimming, ginger pooping and walking around with it in his mouth, and just manson with nasty makeup and stuff.i wish there had been more backstage footage. i also bought nin's closure, and that was very good- the backstage stuff was short, but interesting and clear,& the onstage footage was good. in dead to the world, a major disappoitment was the "beautiful people."this is my fave manson song, but i h8ed the video's version with the tuba.there were no videos. instead, there was lots of footage of christian people complaining about how much they h8ed manson. it was ok @ 1st, but after a while, i just wanted 2 c some of the band.speaking of the band, there was almost no footage of the band except marilyn. i really wanted 2 c sum pics of pogo, but he was only on 2x, 4 a short time.the video had its moments, but overall it was poorly made, poorly shot, poorly edited and poorly directed. i still like the band, but i feel that this video didn't really show ther best side.

When i was younger, the tour on this tape came to the civic center in my city, and that was the first i had heard of manson. I did not go(it sold out pretty quickly), now after watching this video, i am mad for not going! The video starts out with protestors and then cuts to the concert footage with "Angel with the scabbed wings", then it has backstage footage, and more concerts, and so on. He does amazing on stage, he sounds good, and is not afraid to go to the extremes. If you are easily offended, this video is DEFFINETLY NOT FOR YOU!!! But, if you are like me, and love both marilyn manson and shock factor, then you must get this tape. I have watched this tape almost more than i have listened to the cds. I am addicted, and i am loving it!! YOU MUST BUY IT NOW!!!!

The video contains a 1996 documentary of the controversial Antichrist Superstar tour. The video features 10 songs from the Antichrist Superstar album and the albums before it. Manson delivers a chaotic performance through every one of the songs.

Aside from the live performances there are also segments of behind the scenes footage of the band as well as the protesters who tried so very hard to stop the show from happening. Manson briefly states his philosophy in his commentaries.

See U In The Future...

The first thing that strikes while watching this video is the fact that it's so shocking! You get to see Manson cut himself and ask the crowd to spit on him... But that just adds to the experience, there's no other words to describe this video, it's an unmissable experience. You get to see the best songs off AntiChrist played live (Beautiful People, Irresponsible Hate Anthem and a special version of 1996) plus some older songs (Lunchbox...). There's also a lot of backstage footage in between each live song and some very interesting interviews with Manson, although what he says is already in his autobiography. If you ever wanted to see Manson live but never got the opportunity this is the video to buy, believe me you won't regret it.. In my opinion, the only thing it's missing is "Mister Superstar" but I can't have everything can I :)

Then you'll love it. If not, then rent Bambi. For those idiots that STILL believe all those lame rumors (removing ribs to perfom felatio on himself) well then you shouldn't be watching this sort of video and should probably stick to wrestlin' anyway. It's a show...it's for shock value....GET IT?!?! Why do you think he does all the "bad" stuff (ripping bibles, giving oral sex to Twiggy on stage, self mutilating, etc ) he does? TO GET PEOPLE TO PAY ATTENTION! Wake up America....this isn't the wonderful place many of you seem to think it is....he's trying to point that out...trying to wake people up. Do some history on the guy before you rip him, he actually went to a CHRISTIAN school...yeah that's right......and there he learned how cruel this world can be. It's a great video depicting an over the top performer.....but as I said...if you're into this sort of thing then you'll love it!

I was shocked when I was the opening scene for this tape. I was only fifteen when I first viewed this tape. The drugs, nudity and disturbing images were pretty cool to me then, and are even more intresting now than ever. I give this one four stars because most of the concert is recorded with an open mic thus making the sound a B+ for quality. Here you get ten live songs and back stage footage. Get this if you haven't seen Manson live that's all I have to say.

Okay, now before all you Manson fans want to kill me, let me explain something, I am a huge MM fan, this movie was just really disapointing. I kept waiting for there to be like some meat to the film, to tie all the loose ends together, but it never happened. When manson was interviewed the sound quality ...., and all through out the movie the camera jumped around far too much. When they were backstage with the band, I would start to look at one of the members and check out his make up and hair and all and then the camera would turn away, I was like, geezus, give me a second. it was irritating. One awesome freaky thing though, was when Manson came out on stilts to sing
"Kinderfeld," that was great. I basically expected more from this film because of all the hype it got from all of you, I don't understand it, God Is In The Tv was a much much much better choice, which I do own and watch frequently. I am glad that I bought this simply because it's more MM for me, but take my word for it, if you're going to buy one of their movie things, please buy God Is In The TV.
