Essential Reference for Marin Naturalists, May 17, 2005
This review is from: Marin Flora: Manual of the Flowering Plants and Ferns of Marin County, California, Second edition with Supplement (Paperback)
This book is actually quite outdated as far as nomenclature goes and also does not give much detail about the species beyond that in the key. It has no pictures and is not for the casual wildflower enthusiast. It does have one great benefit, however, which is extremely detailed information about where and in what habitat a particular species may be found. This info is ectremely helpful in narrowing down plant i.d.s and determining the likelihood of a particular species occuring in your area.
