I am a technican for a generator repair company. We use the Guest series of chargers due to their high reliability, weatherproof, vibration resistance and reasonable price.
You can count on these to keep your battery charged and ready to go. We also like the the model 2611A due to its versatility - it is able to work on 12v and 24v systems. I don't think you can find a better charger for the price.

I have had another Guest charger for my trolling motors. Has worked great for years. This 2608 will be used as a make up and occasional winter charger for my main battery. I expect it to last for many years. Had another brand that did not last a year. Value is much more than price.

1st one arrived and didn't work at all. The return was easy didnt have to pay out any cash and 2nd charger worked great. Ive owned Guest Chargers before 1st time ever had trouble with one. I would recommend this charger.

This is the second charger I've purchased, one with dual bank charging for my trolling motor batteries and now one for the cranking battery.The charger worked so well with the trolling batteries I decided to purchase the second. Definitely would recommend this product. Batteries always ready for cold starts. Reason for a 4 star rating is that nothing rates a 5.

This is one of the best pieces of equipment I have ever bought and should be a must for every battery used by any piece of heavy equipment only used occasionally for, f.i., emergency situations. Standby generators would be an ideal application for this battery charger, even if it is housed inside a casing exposed to the elements. Be sure to seal the equipment so rodents cannot get at the inside wiring.

I purchased this for all outside use. It stayed outside Winter/Summer from 0F to 110F and never missed a lick. charged my trolling motor battery up in just a few hours and maintained that charge even if I didn't use the battery for two months. It has several "stages" of charging and drops amperage to trickle charge level automatically.

I strongly recommend the Guest brand marine chargers. Mine has never failed, completely sealed against water and weather, and has stood the test of time.

This is money well spent!

This unit seems to be the standard base model for charging one gel cell battery. I purchased it from Amazon because the price is so much better than other stores. I installed it and it works. I haven't had it long enough to tell you anything more. Installation was easy. The 110 volt side has a grounded plug attached. IT is made to mate with special Marinco inlet fixtures, or you can plug it into a standard 110 volt outlet or extension cord.

I haven't had this charger to long, so it's hard to tell on how it will perform. It's sure going to be put to the test, though. I have added alot of excessories to my boat. 3 Graphps, Stero System, Interior Rope lighting, Lighting for the rod lockers and storage compartments and a ooga horn. This is my second on board charger I have added to my boat and if it does as good as my other one, I will be happy!

RECENTLY I HAD TO PURCHASE A NEW BATTERY MAINTAINER FOR MY PONTOON BOAT. I LEAVE IT IN THE WATER ALL OF THE TIME AND WANT IT TO START WHEN I GET READY TO GO. THE LAST ONE COULD KEEP TWO BATTERIES CHARGED, BUT NOW I DON'T NEED THE TROLLING MOTOR SO I BOUGHT A SINGLE BATTERY CHARGER MODEL2608A MADE BY GUEST. I SHOPPED THE INTERNET AND FOUND THE BEST PRICE FOR THIS CHARGER AT AMAZON.COM.

WHILE TAKING THE OLD ONE OUT I NOTICED THAT IT WAS MADE BY GUEST ALSO. IT HAD BEEN SO LONG I HAD FORGOT. THE OLD ONE IS AS OLD AS MY BOAT, OVER 15 YEARS OF OPERATION WITHOUT QUITTING. I'M HOPING FOR THE SAME TYPE OF SERVICE FOR THE NEW ONE.

THE CHARGER HAS INSTRUCTIONS FOR OPERATION AND FOR MOUNTING AND IS A SNAP TO INSTALL. ALL OF THE NECESSARY WIRING IS ALREADY INSTALLED TOO. YOU WON'T GO WRONG WITH THE QUALITY AND RELIABILITY OF THE MODEL 2608A.

This is NOT the 2607A which has two 3 amp outputs and could have been wired for a 24vdc system, or a single 6 amp 12vdc. What you will be shipped is the 2608A which is a single output 12vdc, at 6 amps. I wish the model number listed did not mislead me.
