Great book about the history of the Marine Corps Marathon, "The People's Marathon."
I had a chance to meet George Banker at the 2007 Marine Corps Marathon. Recommended for all who have run this great Marathon.

If you are thinking of running the Marine Corps Marathon this book will prepare you, not only for what to expect on the course, but more so the history of the race and those who ran it just as you will...step by step..stride by stride..you will be filled with pride knowing how many amazing runners have come before and the many stories they share in this very well written...heartfelt book. The author captures the true emotion of the Marine Corp Marathon !
There is no way the author, George Banker, could have written this without being a mega marathoner himself. |
