4.0 out of 5 stars Functional at a good price
This knife is a spin off of the K-bar brand. I bought it specifically because it had the non-slip rubber grip that I wanted without spending $70.

3.0 out of 5 stars Decent for the price
Cons:
Made in China. Bulky. The sheath is not a friction sheath and made of this crap plastic. The knife is held in the sheath with this plastic/rubber band that goes around the base of the grip. The leg strap is a joke. The handle/grip feels and smells like it's made of recycled tires and hockey pucks.
Pros:

Look, spending 10 bucks for a knife means you are going to sacrifice something, but with this knife at the price it's not too much. The knife definitely has some weight to it and has a good feel in the hand. The grip is also non-slip. About the biggest disappointment is that the blade itself although made of stainless, has a rather matte finish to it instead of a polished gleam. This seems to be a trend even in higher priced models. However the blade is not flimsy and I would not want to be on the receiving end of it... by any means.
The sheath is a hard shell type meant to be tied around your leg so it doesn't flop around. Actually the picture of the sheath is a little misleading at first because it looks as if the knife point is meant to stick out from the end of the sheath, but that is the tie down cords that have been cropped in the picture. For the price of the knife on sale, I think it is much more worthy than simply a gag gift.

Pros:
Relatively sturdy, sharp. Took it out and beat the crap out of it using it to wedge open downed trunks, pry out rocks around the campsite, and whack down small tree limbs. Surprisingly, there was no bending and minimal chipping. After a couple runs on the stone at the end of the day, it was pretty much as good as new.

All in all, pretty decent knife for $[...]. I should have spent the extra $[...] and bought a Victorinox lockblade.

Good buy. No it's not a 80 $ Ka-Bar but I also don't wanna screw up a nice knife on a camping/hunting trip.
I would say buy this for regular use and keep your Ka-Bar nice and clean in your bug-out-bag.

1.0 out of 5 stars Not really worth it..., March 24, 2011

The knife itself is okay I guess in the sense that it has the right shape and has a handle and a blade, although the blade was dull upon arrival. I seriously couldn't cut the paper the invoice was printed on. The cheap rubber handle smells terrible, and the kindest thing I have to say about the sheath is that you won't cut yourself when the knife is in it (assuming you have sharpened the dull blade). I am glad I didn't spend alot of money on this, but now that I have it I highly doubt it will get much use. I would strongly recommend potential buyers to keep searching as you will most likely be as disappointed in this knife as I am.

5.0 out of 5 stars Awesome Knife!, August 17, 2011

To be honest after I bought my knife I was a bit nervous from reading the reviews. I have a massive knife collection, both cheap and expensive, ranging from around $5 all the way past $400. I actually just recently bought two very cheap knives from amazon, and both had some good, and bad reviews, but they turned out to be wrong(the bad ones). This is really one of those products that you get what you pay for, but even with that being said, this knife was well worth the money, and the quality probably exceeds its value. I actually like the sheath it came in, even though it was a bit thin, and the knife seems really solid, and has some decent weight to it. This really isn't the type of knife you want to take hunting, especially if you plan to use it for anything like cutting or chopping since it's not really all that sharp. I think if you want a knife with functionality, this isn't the one, but if you want a nice collectors or show piece, or something for straight up stabbing(hunting, not killing people:P), this is a good product for you. The one thing I don't like about it is the fact that it kind of smells bad. The handle is made of some type of rubber and it really doesn't add a nice fragrance to the room, but I'm sure just like with other knives, it will fade with time. Overall, I'm very pleased, and glad I bought it. It looks exactly like it does in the picture and I honestly think it was worth the money I spent.

in a moment of panic, with a wild Kodiak charging me, If i had the option of this so called 'Knife' and a pointy stick... i would take the stick.

this has the worst blade metal i have ever seen, truly an amazing point in humanities advancement of metallurgy that we can stoop to such low levels, this blade actually managed to rust through on a straight line, while attempting to work with the blade for BASIC camp craft it snapped in half and sent a flurry of rather unpleasant shards into my face.

the grip is plastic, not the nice grippy zytel stuff that you can actually get a good grip on, this stuff is cheap in the extreme, i would put the plastic into a slightly lower category than most plastic bottles, and then we get to the holster, if i could find the blind drunk that designed the holster i would probably break every finger he had, his designs are probably why he is blind and broken bones are a good indicator of why he drinks, but i would still hurt him, there is no way to wear this holster comfortably and it is insecure in the only way you CAN hold it, the blade will pop out randomly and disappear, this is of course a good thing and i can only assume that the blade is so disgusted with it's existence that it fled in the hopes of finding some manner to destroy itself.

if someone GAVE ME This knife, i would demand my money back.

this knife is to bad. the sheath is functional and the knife is , well it cuts.the whole knife fell apart on me because the tang pin fell out(easily fixable). the serrations do start to cut the sheath upon draw. ive heard the handle smells bad, but honestly i think it smells kinda good. not a bad knife for the price.

Cant go wrong. Great price for a solid knife. One thing...mine was dull, not sure if all of them come like that but i had to sharpen it. Rubber handle feels good, Full tang, and holster is somewhat confusing for me.
Would buy again!
