5.0 out of 5 stars Love those Kozlowskis!!!
Rad, like all the Kozlowski brothers, is a quintessential Bad Boy, and proud of it. Until his general's daughter, spoiled little Heidi, sets her sights on him. Then he's running scared, although he'd do almost anything rather than admit it. When Heidi corners him for a dinner date, he blurts out that his fiancee wouldn't approve. 2.0 out of 5 stars Whatever . . .
This book is really a rather humdrum effort which doesn't do much to showcase Ms. Linz's particular talents. The plot is utterly predictable, and after Rad's initial visit to the grade school, the humor level plunges--a big disappointment considering what this author's capable of. Even the usual pokes at the military mindset don't help much. The story is livened up...

This review is from: The Marine Meets His Match: Men of Honor (Silhouette Romance) (Mass Market Paperback)
Then he has to scramble to come up with her name - Heidi is nothing if not tenacious! The only girl's name he can remember is that of the lovely redhead who chewed him out after his presentation at the elementary school earlier in the day. So he makes Serena an offer - he's already bought the building where she lives and works, and he'll cut her rent in half if she'll pose as his fiancee for as long as it takes to get Heidi - and by extension her father - off his back. I liked this book because Cathie has put a lot of effort into developing the Kozlowskis as individuals, as well as a closely-knit family unit. Each brother is an individual, with fears and dreams. The women they choose are all strong women with opinions they aren't afraid to voice, but they're not irrational. Serena is carrying a lot of baggage from her past, especially regarding her family and controlling military men, but even she can see that Rad is trainable. Once he understands the problem, that is. The dialog was fun and their relationship developed gradually but believably. A great addition to the Men of Honor series!

Even the usual pokes at the military mindset don't help much. The story is livened up slightly by the presence of the Polish grandmother, but this is basically one to skip. Plus, it's somewhat racier than most Silhouette romances.
