This is a very handsome leather bible series. Each bible contains the excellent (because it is very accurate and highly readable) Holman's Christian Standard translation. Special helps, prayers, and encouragements for policemen, firemen, and armed forces personnel are contained in each bible. The insignia or symbol of each occupation is nicely printed on the cover. It is sad that due to another religion (guess which one?) we now have a large market for bibles for the swelling ranks of the armed forces fighting the cruel and barbaric methods of those dedicated to violence in the name of their god. Onward, Christian Soldiers - and take a copy of one of these great bibles.

This is a good bible for anyone plus it has many additional features such as stories from other Marines and other patriotic items. My Marine grandson said he will treasure it as he goes off to Iraq.

The best and most original feature of this Bible is the military essays and prayers in the back. From words written by Gen. George Washington to Gen. Colin Powell and Lt.Col. Oliver North there are humble thoughts from great American warriors. Excellent gift for the military person who may not be a Bible reader yet but will carry one in his seabag. There are not aethists in foxholes!

I purchased the Bible as a gift for my Marine nephew. It is exactly as I had hoped it would be. It is filled with many inspirational commentaries and verses as well as Bible readings. It arrived quickly and in perfect condition and I was able to send it to my nephew the day he deployed to Iraq.

This bible could be good for a Marine,Former Marine,or Marine Wife!! It includes many military prayers,marine prayers,and a marine wife prayer. It is perfect for a Marine as it is not too big and could easily be taken with them! I got my Marine Fiance the Marines Bible for Christmas and he really liked it! I strongly suggest it especially for those religious Marines.

I really enjoyed this Bible. I bought it for my brother, who is obsessed with the Marines. I love its compact size and leather bound cover. The details are really there, and it looks like someone really cared about the marine it was going to. I also love at the back there are prayers, songs, hymns, and devotions for a marine on the go, with an index to point to scripture references. Very good, it is like a devo and Bible on the go.

My husband and I presented this Bible to our son as a gift prior to entering boot camp. The Marine Corps is very particular about what a recruit can bring with him/her when they enter boot camp. One of the very few things they are allowed to bring is a personal Bible, and then, only if it is small enough to fit in the recruit's pocket. We were very happy to know that this Bible met the requirements and he was allowed to bring it with him. On top of that, it was a very handsome book with the USMC seal embossed in gold on the front. We were very, very pleased with it.

These Marine Bible's are both durable and handsome--the perfect gift for any Marine either active or veteran. The price is about $[...] less than retail and a bargain when buying in bulk. You can't go wrong with the Bible or with buying from Amazon.com.

I purchased this bible for my son before he left for bootcamp the first of March. He also recieved one at his farewell party. He was so glad to have them and has one with him. I looked all over for the right size of bible to get him and found this on Amazon. This is the perfect gift for anyone to purchase a Marine.

my son was going in the marines right after graduation, so I got him this as a grduation gift. It has prayers from president Washington to Bush. I saw my son reading it a lot the week before he went in.
