I have been a fan of Mario Badescu for a few years now. I do find that his lotions are great for sensitive, acne prone skin like mine. I had always been to dermatologists, wore little face make-up and regularly applied expensive topical creams impatiently awaiting results. When someone recommended his drying lotion, I was skeptical. NEVER has anything, not requiring a prescription, worked for me in the past. I bought it at a trade show and was instantly hooked! There's no need to apply it all over the face, just the inflamed area. If you apply to fresh acne (I do not recommend applying when it's already in the drying process, you'll risk flaking) your blemish will be gone in just a couple days. Improving atleast 50% in just the first day alone! I'm just ordering my 3rd bottle now. Oh and DO NOT SHAKE!

I am 30 and I get the occasional breakout from stress and hormones. This stuff smells funny, like old-school Clearasil, but it really does work overnight. It took away the redness and shrunk the pimples I had. I will never go back to using anything else.

I have used products in the MB line for months now and have tried various products including the buffering lotion, silver powder, healing powder, drying mask, special healing cream, and of course the drying lotion. Out of all of them, I like the drying lotion best and reach for it most often over the rest of the MB line that I own. As others have stated, it is best used in the evening, since it is not formulated to work with makeup. Apply with cotton swab and dab on each pimple until coated in "pink," and let dry. Typically the pimple(s) are greatly reduced by morning, if not gone, which is why I love this product. For an acne treatment intended for evening use, this is the best I have found. Kate Sommerville makes a similar product, but it did not work nearly as well, so I would skip that one if you were thinking of going with that one instead.

Please note that this product does not intend to clear up stubborn cystic acne. MB does not use a one-size-fits-all approach to treating acne, since there are several types of acne that can form on the face. Rather, they have developed acne specific products, targeting the actual acne you are afflicted with. If you have cystic acne troubles, use the buffering lotion, which is formulated to help reduce cystic acne. Their website actually has an acne guide explaining each type of acne and how to treat it with their products, which is worth checking into. Since MB has many product offerings, I suggest completing their skin analysis online and let them send you free samples of what they believe will work for you from their product line.

I'm not really sure what all the hype is about with this product, but I'm happy that it turned me on to the brand. The Mario Badescu buffering lotion, drying cream, acne cleanser, and special c clearing lotion were very effective. I also like that the formulas are simple without a lot of extra added chemicals. Although this particular product didn't work for me, a bunch of his other products have. This is a great brand!

Mario Badescu makes great products for acne. I have tried all of the brands out there - Murad, proactive, clearasil etc. This is my all time favorite product. I 've used it with the acne cleanser and the drying lotion. I just saw that Atmosphere Beauty carries a kit with several of the items that I'm excited purchase when I'm ready for more. I Visited Atmosphere Beauty when I lived in the area and had a complimentary consultation by their Mario Badescu representative. I just love their products especially with how affordable they are compared to so many other skin care lines. I will be back for more!

This has been a huge help for me - and I'm well into my 50's. Of course, from time-to-time you get the occasional stubborn pimple, but for the most part it dries it right up. Sometimes it stings a little, but I don't care because it seems like it's penetrating the gunk and killing it.

Will continue to use it. No such thing as adult acne is one of the biggest lies ever and this eases the pain of it.

This is an on and off product. Works for some, doesn't for others. I have sensitive skin. I really did WANT to believe that this product works MAGICAL WONDERS. But no. It did not work too well for me. It did irritate my skin a bit. It only worked on only one pimple. But that pimple took 4 days to actually even show signs that it was working.

Love this stuff. Works like a charm. Mario Badescu has some great products and I love the drying lotion. I have cystic acne that never goes away and this takes care of it. I've tried Proactive, Actutane and loads of other things that couldn't touch it, but this really works. Plus I have sensitive skin and this doesn't bother it at all.

I usually do not have pimples but when I do, they are big ones (cystic). Last few weeks I have 2 huge pimples on my face that would not go away. I was desperate to get rid of those pimples then i came across this product (from browsing via internet). So i ran to Nordstorm to buy. For big pimples, this product make them smaller the next day, and for the small one - the product dried them all out just over night. I could not stop using this thing! Now I do not use anymore because there's no pimples on my face (Thank God) but will surely use again if there will be any. In fact, i already have bought another bottle online because it takes some time on shipping.

i bought this earlier last week. i love it. i browse the high end acne treatment section at ulta everytime i go, and thought about buying it a few times. i'm so glad i actually did this time. i put it on before bed and the next day washed it off when i took a shower. the acne had shrunk. literally results overnight. i also picked up a little tub of the healing cream and applied that over the drying lotion on my face to get the acne that was healing. i recommend that as well!!!

i read the label and it says not to shake and when i got home it had been shaken during travel, but if you buy it at the store or when you open the box at your house and it is mixed together, dont worry, it will settle in a few hours.
