I discovered this in the Mario Badescu salon in NYC - where one of their reps suggested I use this for gentle exfoliation and summer acne flare ups. A bottle should last you more than a year if you use the right amount (a tiny dab per wash - it lathers very well & glycolic acid is powerful stuff). Massage the lather thoroughly to allow the acid time to penetrate your skin. Use a little more if you have lots of makeup on. I tried DDF and other brands afterwards (of glycolic wash) and none measure up to Mario Badescu's. Your skin stays bright and fresh (from the non abrasive exfoliation), and the product just smells clean (not over perfumed or chemical laden). The glycolic toner will not last you as long, but is a good pairing if you have summer induced acne (minor t-zone/hairline). I recommend getting a salon consultation or reading up on their web page to gauge the frequency of use that is good for you. I consider this a bathroom cabinet staple, and in the fall/winter, I rotate use of it with a more moisturizing wash. Regardless of season, rinse well and always follow up with the right moisturizer for your skin.

When buying this I was skeptical to use everyday as it says its a Glycolic cleanser. I tried it anyway and within a week saw amazing results. I have a few old acne scars and some white spots/discoloration. After the first week of use (everyday), my face was bright and the scars were lightened and the discoloration was even! I couldn't beleive it. I continue to use everyday along with exfoliating pads to help with removing dead skin, to keep skin bright and even. The cleanser is gentle and has no smell. A small amount goes a long way and this will last a long time. I love this and will continue to use everyday!

Anyone who knows me knows that I adore Badescu. (No animal testing! Not offensively expensive! Amazing products for all skin types!) This product is great -- but it's not great for me all the time. I have redness issues, so I only use this cleanser occasionally. If your skin is a little heartier and you can tolerate stronger exfoliation, you will love this one. If you're like me, you like to have it on hand but you can't use it every day.

I purchased the Mario Badescu glycolic acid cleanser, the Vitamin C serum, moisturizer, eye cream on Rue La La since I was purchasing them at a discounted price. I absolutely love each of these products and have decided that I'll be using these products moving forward. I've been using the products for about three months now and I find that the texture of my skin has improved dramatically. I'm 33 and I have good skin and I'd rate it 'normal' and would get a little dry on occasion so I was concerned that the Vitamin C serum might dry out my skin but it didn't at all. I found that my skin has become more vibrant looking as it would sometimes look a little dull. I find my husband commenting on how clear and smooth my skin looks at least a couple of times a week. I've used expensive skin care products like SK2 before as I assumed the cost would correlate to greatly improved skin but I didn't notice much of a difference. So, I'm glad to have been introduced to Mario Badescu and although it's not the cheapest products out there, I'm glad to spend the money based on the results.

I have been using this for a couple weeks now, and so far no miracles. It made me break out, badly, on my cheeks and chin but mainly my chin. It hasn't calmed down yet on the chin area, even though I have stopped using the product. If you have sensitive skin, don't use this product! Otherwise, Mario Badescu is a lovely company with good customer service, try there other products, but skip this one!

Bought this product after using a sample. Like the fact there is glycol acid in the cleanser. I also bought a moisturizer but it came from another vendor. Mario sent me a gift with purchase I didn't even know I was getting a gift. It was three 3 oz products in a travel case plus 3 smaller products. Nice touch. It made spending that much dough on a cleanser almost tolerable.
I like the cleanser. It may be too soon for my review as I have not been using it long enough to know how effective it is. works as well as a cleanser should.
