Very reasonably priced alternative to Le Creuset. This is a great pot. One could feed the army if one filled it to capacity. It can be difficult to clean, but that is a function of the porcelain type pots, not this one in particular. Very sturdy, pretty to look at. Has my honey cooking more often at home (and he is a chef, so it is hard to get him in the kitchen outside of work).

The size and shape of this pot are the strong points. I can make a chowder, soup or spaghetti sauce in a large quantity. The weaknesses, and the reason for the 3 star rating is that the pot is not as easy to clean as I thought it would be, in fact it is quite difficult at times. Secondly I already have 2 small clips on one of the handles and I am very careful handling the pot.
I would caution another person when thinking about purchasing this pot and suggest that if the buyer can afford a better pot, to buy one. |
