I had been looking for a deep dish lasagna pan for some time. This pan is GREAT. Cooks evenly, and is so deep I never worry about overflow.
Previously I had purchased a cheaper pan from a local store, and when I got home, the rim was chipped. Went back to said store and they were all chipped!

I like this pan. It's a great size for lasagna, but it's a little heavy. Be careful lifting it in and out of the oven. It heats evenly, and cleans up very well.

I bought this lasagna pan in the pesto color as a Lightening Deal offering before Christmas '09. I am happy with the pan - it is really large and deep and cooks evenly and retains the heat wonderfully. It weighs about 15 pounds with a lasagna in it, so if you can't see yourself holding a hot pan of that weight at arm's length this is probably not the pan for you. I noticed several areas on the outside of my pan where the enamel looks uneven. Especially around the top rim - the thickness is noticably varied. I did read reviews of this cookware (check the other colors and sizes) and I am not the only one who has noticed this flaw. However at the discounted price I paid, I still feel this was a good value and decided against returning it. If I had bought to give as a gift I would have been unhappy enough to return it. For me, the uneven enamel coating was a minor thing - offset by the ease of clean-up, the large capacity, and the fact that it still looks nice on the table. I don't forsee the crowd I invite for salad and lasagna to be scrutinizing the enamel on my pan.

Like but dimensions are NOT correct,

I ordered this pan because the dimensions said it was 4.4 inches deep. In reality it is just over 3 inches deep.
This was a HUGE disappointment.

For this much money I would have expected a flawless product. In one of the corners, there was a hole in the porcelain - like a bubble burst during manufacturing. At first I thought it was a piece of dirt. What a pain, having to return it. If you buy one, wash it right away and inspect it carefully. Amazon was great - they shipped out the replacement the next day.

This is a grat lasagna pan, very deep. I was able to put multiple layers in it and no spilling. It is well made, it is a must for serious lasagna lovers.

Pleasantly surprised -- but careful, it's heavy!,

I had the dickens of a time finding a 9x12x3" lasagna pan, so in desperation I tried this one. I was pleasantly surprised to find that it is not ceramic, as it had looked from the pictures, but enameled cast iron -- which I love. I personally find cast iron to be wonderful to work with. (I purchased from a different store -- and unlike other reviewers, I find the enamel perfectly finished on mine.)
The fact that it is enameled means NO metal utensils, but it turns out that my Oxo nylon spatula does a fine job of cutting up and serving the cooked lasagna, so no problems there. The quality of the pan is wonderful, the kind that, with proper care, will still be around when my children and grandchildren are grown and want to learn Momo's recipes. I purchased the "chianti" color, which is a deep wine red on the outside, creamy off-white inside. At first I wished it was a little brighter (more tomato-saucy, less winy), but I'm actually quite pleased with it. It almost always goes oven to table, and looks very cheerful there. The only caveat is that this pan is very heavy. I had to give it a special place in the cabinet, both so that I'm not hauling it too far, and so that nothing else scratches the finish. It's worth the extra hassle for me, but if you're looking for something lighter, or more bang-aroundable, this is not the pan for you.

I bought this pan after getting tired of having lasagna bubble over while cooking in a too-shallow pan. I read the reviews on Amazon, and selected this pan because of the positive feedback. What the other reviewers have said is true: the pan is so deep you don't have to worry about spills -- it can easily handle 3 layers of pasta; it has excellent heat retention, and you can use it for things other than lasagna [like roasting]; the Chianti color is very attractive. The only caution: the pan is quite heavy when filled with lasagne. I would definitely buy this pan again.

I bought this for my daughter who wanted a deep lasagna pan. The quality is great, though a bit heavy to life, and it's quite versatile going from oven to stove top.
