This is such a well recorded and well performed recording its hard to believe its gone virtually unnoticed. Lily's guitar is a beautiful sounding instrument. The engineers on the CD were first rate, especially for the time. A redoubtable gem of forgotten recordings. Lily Afshar is certainly the best female guitar I have ever heard. And one of the best regardless of sex. Anytime a reviewer uses ultimate superlatives the reader should be wary in most cases, however, in this case they are well deserved and totally apt. A must recording for any classical guitar enthusiast.
