Mario Golf for GBC is the bomb diggity!,

Mario Golf, unlike many Gameboy games, has that distinct pick-up-and-play capability along with the challenge of the best RPG. The graphics are astounding for GBC, and any Gameboy game with the ability to pack 5 courses into one game must be a winner. So we have winning graphics, along with killer play control. There is the typical power meter bar, and menu selections are simple. Finally, we reach the game design. It plays like a golf RPG, where by beating mini-games and placing in tournaments one increases drive, direction of shot, meet area, and control. It is a fun and challenging scenario that has endless possibilities. And unlike most RPGs, the replay value is great! Finally, the sounzd includes recurring Mairo themes as well as new, interesting music. Overall, this game is a definite winner!

If you have a Game Boy Color, be sure to pick up this game. The graphics are the best I've seen on Game Boy. As for the gameplay, it is very easy to get started, although it offers a lot of challenge. A great feature is the ability to create a character, and from there you earn experience by winning matches and tournaments. These points can be used to improve the skills of your player. I would recommend this to anyone!

The Most Addictive Portable Game Ever!,

Mario Golf for the Color Gameboy is a fantastic game. This cartridge, the size of a Saltine cracker, packs more punch and fun than games written to run on machines hundreds of times more powerful than the simple Gameboy Color console.I purchased this game on a business trip in Atlanta, brought it on the plane with me, and had the quickest six-hour trip of my life back to San Francisco thanks to Mario Golf. This game is amazingly addictive, easy to learn, fun to play, and has an excellent graphical makeover to boot. The game incorporates a small bit of role-playing into the world of a golf as you spend your time in between golf tournaments wandering around the various country clubs. There you can interact with other golfers, play mini-games, and enhance your skills. The key to becoming a better golfer in Mario Golf involves gaining experience points which in turn allow you to gain levels, which then award you points you can attribute to your skills. Your ultimate goal is to win all of the tournaments and beat the four "club pros" in a singles match. After accomplishing that, you will be able to visit the land of Mario and play against him on his rather unique course. All in all, this game is a blast and provides endless fun for almost anyone.

Mario Golf, is an excellent Game that is available for both N64 and Game Boy Color. My family has both formats. We have 4 Color game Boys, 4 Mario Golfs and one N64. Because there are 4 children, we have a Game Boy Link and we link to each other and play! It's great the big kids play each other while the small ones duke it out on Planes, road trips or even on the couch. Mario Golf is a MUSt for all Game Boy Color owners.

Mario Golf is a fun way to play golf on your Game Boy Color. If you don't want to spend money by going out to a real golf course, than you can buy this game. In Mario Golf, you can create up to 3 custom players. When you begin in the game you can choose where you want to go. You can enter a tournament, play against a club champ, visit your clubhouse, or just practice. As you play against other players your golfer gets experience points. The experience points make your golfer grow a level. It also gives you a choice on what you want your player to improve on and he improves by a little bit. A golf dictionary comes with the game (the dictionary is computerized inside the game's cartridge). You should buy this game.

I really enjoy this game. It is easy enough that non gamers are able to learn it, and even do well. Like all golfers, your character starts off not really knowing what to do, so that even a perfectly hit ball doesn't have the distance or control of a practiced (higher level) golfer. With practice and training (the game includes many "golf schools") you earn experience points that make you a better golfer! I have about 15 hrs in it now, and it is still as interesting as when it was new. I recommend it as a great way to get in a round during lunch (if your co-workers don't laugh too much).

This game is awsome! It's not an action packed kind of game, it's a passive game. It's very easy to get used to and it is teaches you somewhat how to play real golf. Plus you can make your own character and build him/her any way you like. As you get better, you can increase one of a few stats, which will make your character better. And you can verse characters in the game or your friends. This game is simple, but really fun.

A really great game! Spectacular graphics mixed with first person views while driving the ball makes this game really, really fun! The mini-games are also really fun. This game has the best graphics for any Game Boy game ever!

Excellent Golf Game!,

This is an excellent golf game. Sure, some of the reviewers are right when they say that all you do is choose a shot, the direction, and then shoot (done by trying to match up a moving cursor to specific points), but isn't that every golf game? For a golf game, this is one of the best. Considering that it is on the GameBoy, it's amazing what they have been able to do. I have been playing it almost constantly for weeks now. You have five regular courses, but then you have about a dozen mini-games of different sorts. You can also challenge different golfers to compete in all the courses. In all, this makes over 30 different challenges for you to meet. The level of difficulty ranges from pretty easy to almost impossible (the last course). If you want a golf game for the Gameboy, this is it!

This game takes skill, luck, and patience. If you're not patient and tend to throw your gameboy against the wall then this game is not for You. It is Very different from the N64 version. There are five courses which each provide a different type of skill. There are many other practice areas to train your golfer.
