this game is awesome! my family adverstises for nintendo and my dad recently send me a copy of the mario party advance and i gotta say this is better than i thogth it'd be. I been playing lately and i'm really impressed with it. the minigames are really fun, they came with great ideas for this game's minigames.
the graphics are awesome!!!!!!. the sound is pretty cool too. they have mixed some of the old mario songs. believe, this is one of the best games for the GBA. Wait until dec. 6 and you see what i mean. Hope this helped you make your desicion!

I have played many of Nintendo's franchise games, and I have never seen a game so completely presented for kids as this game. I'm not a kid, but if I remember right, even a kid doesn't need a little twinkly star telling them 'This game's absolutely packed with fun.' For the first half hour the game just presents you with super-colorful image after sickening colorful image as you prepare your 'passport', a prerequisite to playing the game.
But after that, and after you get over the presentation so kiddy that it will make young kids sick, this is a nice game. Don't expect a party like earlier Mario Party games; this game is almost all for one player. Basically, its main mode has you driving around town running simple errands with limited gasoline, and to keep your car gassed up you have to win frequent mini-games. And most of the mini-games are pretty fun, especially if you learn them and try to set new records in the 'free play' mode. You will meet many characters from past Mario games as you play. I know this is kiddy too but this I don't mind; I'm a Mario fan. I especially liked meeting the big round slime that was a boss in Yoshi's Island; the characters will bring back memories for a Mario fan as you explore town. This game is enjoyable; not that enjoyable but enough to keep you coming back. That is if the childish presentation doesn't make you vomit.

Not a party. Just a long quest.,

This game is not exactly a party game. All you do is drive on a mushroom car around shroom city. You do like 50 quests and earn gadgets. The only characters playable is Mario(of course),Luigi,Peach, and Yoshi. But it is still a cool game. It even includes a Party Board for Multiplayers with only four characters playable. It's just an addition if you want to party, with four people. And you use your gameboy in a cool, yet weird way.And yes i almost forgot to tell you that it does have mini-games,and micro-games. Just buy it and you might like it. Just dont expect you can unlock new characters. And you get to put your information, and secrets. So if you and a friend battle in mini-games and beated you,he might get a chance to view your passport and secret! And yes there is a multi game(4-players)and it is a penguin race, which you dont control it, you just guess which one you think would win the race.....Very surprising!Yet there are a lot of missions and some are hard so it might get you busy if you want to complete the game. Enjoy getting those missing mini-games!

I was a Mario Party fan and recently received this gba game. I really enjoyed playing it before I completed all the quests. I was really surprised that there isn't more to do. I do not yet have a cable to connect gb's so that might be fun to try. But overall, it was a pretty fun game. I have to agree that I was pretty frustrated when during the challenge mode, I was up about 4 games and then lost them all. Oh well, something to work on.

I would rate this game the third best in the Mario Party series, behind 4 and 3, respectively. This game has its own personality in that you have to move around the board and solve quests to get gaddgets. I like that you have to excel at mini-games to continue on your quests. I would say this game is quite easy, but that's what makes it so fun.

I like to play for fun but that this game seems to me more like work. I would enjoy it much more if I wouldn't have to worry about running out of stars that allow me to move around. However, if you are a good player (I'm an occasional player) and have no trouble with passing little games that allow you to collect stars, then this game might be fun for you.

What a great game, the plot is similar to the second Mario Party game. I still haven't figure out some of the the mini-games, just like in all the Mario Party games. The only draw back I can think of is that you get to choose from four characters instead of six. This game left out Wario and Donkey Kong, but other than that it is a great game! I would recommend this to anyone that has a Gameboy Advance or is a fan of the Mario Party games.

This game was not what I thought it was gonna be. I thought i was gonna be playing a board game of a mario party map. not doing quest like an RPG! I played for a day and never played it again. :(

Not much of a party...,

Don't get me wrong. This game is fairly easy to get into and goes quick. But calling it Mario Party is wrong. There's not much of a party as it's all single-player action.
The "game board" isn't like a board game as it is in the console versions of Mario Party. It's more like the town or land in Super Mario Brothers 3 or Super Mario World. I really enjoyed going around the town and meeting the characters that live there and helping them with their errands. Although, some of the missions were kind of dumb (more thought could have been put into them). The gadgetts earned are just silly. They don't really do much and are a waste of time going through them all. The developers could have spent more time on the actual game play instead of creating these strange things. The game board is fairly easy to move around but running out of mushrooms is frustrating. It seemed that I would always run out of mushrooms right as I was about to finish a mission where I had to go all around the board and back. At least when the game restarts, all of the completed missions are still completed! Overall, this is a very fun game. The main portion of the game goes by really quickly and I wish there was a second "level" to it. I guess thats why you don't get all of the gadgetts in town. You have to buy the rest of the gadgetts from Challenge Land which can take a very long time.

I wasn't expecting this game to be quite like the other Mario Parties so I'm satisfied with the way it was put together but the only things I absolutely HATE are:
In the Challenge part where you play mini-games and duel games to get coins (you play a series of games in a row to win), it SUCKS that if you lose ONCE, you're done! That's a big pain! They show NO mercy whatsoever! The challengers are hard and so are most of the games! I'm 21 and I have trouble with it; I don't understand how they expect kids to play this with ease! |
