Most of you probably know Mario from American Idol season 4. He was without a doubt my favorite and I was crushed when he dropped out. Well, Mario, thanks for making it worth a long wait!! This is a great first album. It has a little more R&B then what was heard from him on AI and a good mix of sounds as well. His voice is stellar! My favorite song is I Bet and I really hope he releases it as a single. I also really like One Shot. It's a beautiful ballad and really shows off his voice. Both of these I could see as getting a lot of radio play. Everytime I is great also!! Well done Mario!

Mario Vazquez delivered a great album of versatility and honesty. This is the real Mario the whole world was waiting for. Smooth vocals blending with great songwriting and quality production. Good for you Mario!! I'm looking forward to your next CD...!!!

Everyone knows that Mario Vazquez without a doubt would have won American Idol Season 4. His rich tenor/falsetto is what real music listeners wanted while his boy next door image appealed to teeny bopper girls. On his debut CD instead falling into some cookie cutter pop image, Vazquez has the involvement of heavy hitters like Ne-Yo, Stargate, Scott Storch, Sean Garrett, and Johnta Austin, it's clear that Arista controller Clive Davis sees Vazquez as someone who can go far beyond AI. The lead single Gallery is a confections pop number written by NE-Yo and produced by Stargate. Vazquez also shines on the Johnta Austin written ballad We Gon Last. If you get a chance pick this one up

Glad to see that Mario finally released this album! And this album shows that he's got the "it factor" when it comes to becoming a star. IMO, he should've won the 2005 American Idol competition - glad to see that he didn't need to win it to show us he's better than any of them. Go Mario!!! Oh, and if you're into smooth r&b tunes and Latin pop, Mario is here to deliver the goods!

Mario's debut release is an actual surprise. It's really quite good. His voice is great and the music is really nice too. Together this makes for a good cd that is full of good songs and it's really enjoyable.
I love One Shot - it's a nice ballad that I cannot stop playing, and I also really like Gallery, She Got Me, Just A Friend and I Bet.
Sometimes the songs sound a little formulated, but overall this is a really good cd that is going to stay in my car for a long time. I really like it and hope that you like it too as much as I do.

Did not expect this CD to be as good as it is when I purchased it. Mario Vazquez is the 29 y/o who made it to the finals of American Idol in season 4 and then decided to quit for "personal reasons". Everyone was shocked because he was alread quipped as being a fan favorite. 2 years later he comes out with a very solid debut, self titled CD.

Mario's CD is a very R&B influenced album with some hints of hip hop in it as well. He mostly sings in a falsetto voice similar to that of Justin Timberlake but, not as high pitched. I love his first single: "Gallery" - a nice mid-tempo jam that showcases what he has to offer, vocally and just gives you a taste of what the rest of the CD has to offer. There is some A-List producers included in the production of this CD as well: Ne-Yo, Lester Mendez, Scott Storch and Luny Tunes. Can't go wrong there. The songs speak for themselves. He knows just how to use his voice. The songs are very melody driven and very radio friendly. It's quite a refreshing CD.

This CD is great. If it is marketed right it has the potential to have many hit singles from it. If you were a fan then and are a fan of R&B fused with Pop then do not pass this one up!!

This in my opinion is one of 2006's best album. But he did disappoint almost everyone in america when he left american idol, but after hearing this album we all forgave him! Keep up the good work!

i love this album! i listen to it everyday! he has such a pure, unique, and beautiful voice. and i love his song choices, like fired up, cohiba, just a friend, like it or not, and gallery, and the rest. i luv this album sooo much!

I just bought this album today and I have been anticipating it since Mario dropped out of the show on the 4th season of American Idol.

Being a severe American Idol fan, I would have to say that this album is the best, most realistic album produced by any American Idol (excluding Kelly Clarkson). This seperates Mario from the others that are producing what I would call "fake" music. This music on this cd is actually playable on radio and what I would consider "real" music.

It's unfortunate though that this album will probably not become a hit, because of the time it was released. If he would have gone through the whole competition, he would have been most definately the male version of Kelly Clarkson, producing current, REAL music that people who didnt even watch American Idol will want to listen to. However because he didnt finish the competition, and also waiting a year and a half to release his debut album when the spotlight was no longer on him was probably not a good idea. He needs the PR that American Idol gave him a few years ago. A popular album isn't only based on the songs and the singer, but the timing and amount of publicity they already. Paris Hilton for instance has one of the WORST cd's I have heard, yet it is a huge hit because she released a the right time and she is also known. I can say the same for Nick Lachey's "What's left of me". Great song, but if it was sung by someone unkown, (assuming the person had the same looks and voice of Nick Lachey), I dont think it would have been as big of a hit as it was.

Most of the songs are great on this album, my favourites being

"Gallery" and "One Shot" (which is an awesome ballad)

He really does have a great voice, and very current. All of the tracks on here sound very "Usher" esque, with good beats and strong strong vocals.

It is possible that he will hit it big once people start hearing his tracks. But unfortunately probably won't make it as big as Kelly Clarkson did. If he would have gone through with the competition, he could have produced a mediocre first album like Kelly did, and then followed with an R&B album like this one and hit mainstream media.

Great album overall. If you like Usher, you will love this album. Most of the tracks are upbeat on this album.

wow... i always loved mario when he was on American Idol... i thought he had the WHOLE package and could actually win... When he dropped out... i was crushed... But i knew that he had great star quality, and would not be forgotten. I brought the album yesterday and i love it... people must remember that his style and tone is totally diff.. he is 1 in a million..
that album has great tracks... # 1 or 3 "one shot" are my favorite... but i can listen to the whole album without stopping... i think that he will b around 4 a long time.... and is truly NEW and diff 4m others....
